Tostato in sottofondo, ormai integrato e mentolatura balsamica. (804 views) | | Tasted by SenorYay on 7/14/2018 & rated 91 points: Non-traditional style- nicely integrated, long finish (915 views) | | Tasted by up4wine on 3/30/2017 & rated 95 points: I have to say that this is probably the best Barbaresco I have had. There was very nice cherry and some like hint of vanilla. Lots of spice that moved in and out of dominance, giving this wine the kind of interest that leads one to savor the aroma for long periods. This was in near perfect balance front to back, with the fruit carrying all the way to the long, long finish. Just a magnificent Nebbiolo in its prime and hitting on all cylinders. I am not sure why this bottle dazzled me so much more than the last one. (1222 views) | | Tasted by Bluespolo on 1/24/2015 & rated 90 points: Spicy and toasted notes of mocha and cacao, integrated into a more fruity character (blueberry, currant), with a background of violet, mint and licorice. Hot and velvety at palate; wrapping. Long finish. Certainly not a traditional Barbaresco, but eventually a good wine, not over-oaked. (1697 views) | | Tasted by vendange on 7/6/2013 & rated 92 points: Drinking beautifully but still bracingly young. (2224 views) | | Tasted by torourke on 11/8/2006 & rated 94 points: Outstanding wine, full of depth and structure, needed a couple hours to open up but drank great from the first glass. (2633 views) | | Tasted by Barbara B on 6/7/2005 & rated 88 points: Clear, orangish. Nothing much on the nose. Palate: big teeth-coating tannins, high acidity, high alcohol (14%), but not unbalanced. Oak, earth, minerals, tar, a little flowery, dried herbs, no primary fruit. Inelegant, rough and harsh at this stage. Hard to judge its future. (2519 views) |

| Fiorenzo Nada Producer websiteNebbioloNebbiolo is a red grape indigenous to the Piedmont region of Italy in the Northwest. The grape can also be found in other parts of the world, though they are not as respected.
Nebbiolo is often considered the "king of red wines," as it is the grape of the famed wines of Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG, and Roero DOCG. It is known for high tannins and acidity, but with a distinct finesse. When grown on clay, Nebbiolo can be very powerful, tannic, and require long aging periods to reach its full potential. When grown on sand, the grape exhibits a more approachable body with more elegant fruit and less tannins, but still has high aging potential.
"Nebbiolo" is named for the Italian word, "nebbia", which means "fog", in Italian and rightfully so since there is generally a lot of fog in the foothills of Piedmont during harvest.
Nebbiolo is a late-ripening variety that does best in a continental climate that boasts moderate summers and long autumns. In Piedmont, Nebbiolo is normally harvested in October.
