Tasted by Tony Molester on 4/14/2017: This was a memorable wine. The musky floral aroma that unfolds truly is quintessentially victorian, unlike its french equivalent. Just as compelling however.

A great wine drinking at maturity.
Drink or hold, fully developed.

Tasted by sthugo on 1/4/2016 & rated 92 points: Beautiful bright golden in colour, I was a little worried this wine may have been past it. But given the nose of stewed honey and peach, this wine was still alive! In the mouth the wine has a heaviness about it, with subtle hints of honey and peach. Wonderful depth of flavour finishing long and tangy. For $14 a bottle this truly is one of the bargain's of the wine world. Pity it was my last bottle. (1829 views)
Tasted by TravisW on 6/22/2013 & rated 90 points: Impressive stuff. How this wine transforms itself is quite unbelievable. Rich and honeyed, and yet refreshingly drinkable due to the fine acidity. Not hugely complex but interesting nonetheless. Lovely. (2177 views)
Tasted by Duncan on 6/10/2010 flawed bottle: Not strictly speaking flawed, but rather too old. After considering with two more recent vintages tasted at the same time, I conclude that five years is a good mid point between youthful fruitiness and age. Thirteen years did not make it complex, just tired out. Cork. (3050 views)
Tasted by StewartWent on 10/18/2008 & rated 87 points: Might be an example of not great bottle conditioning but still a very good drop. Darkening yellow / honey colour clearly depicts the 11yrs of age. Faint citrus on the nose early is quickly overtaken with honey and spice. More of the honey and spice on the palate, actually very well defined, but a pong from what might be low levels of oxidisation makes its presence felt. Amazing cellaring capacity for a $12 wine but doesn't really deliver a lot of excitement. (3286 views)
