Tasted by Zweder on 4/25/2016 & rated 91 points: Weekly tasting group #211; A fully blind test. (@ My place): Mature bouquet with forest floor, animals and rustic flavors. On the palate ripe dark berries, sweet spices, a touch of pleasant sweetness and also good acidity and round, slightly sticky and a bit drying tannin. Beautiful wine, ready now and the next few years. 90 - 91 (2990 views)
Tasted by jonathanwilliam on 1/31/2015 & rated 91 points: Very interesting addition to a Douro tasting. Very evolved, greens with chocolate or liquor notes as well. Fine and elegant in the mouth - certainly worth trying again (3259 views)
Tasted by Zweder on 1/26/2015 & rated 89 points: Weekly tasting group #153; A fully blind test. (@ The factory by AH): Dark fruits and chocolate. Same on the palate. Sweet spices like cinnamon. Pleasant acidity and silky soft tannin. The wine is completely ready now. Drink over the next year or two. (3587 views)
Tasted by Zweder on 7/28/2014 & rated 90 points: Weekly tasting group #128; A mixed set of wines. (@ DJ): Beautiful bouquet with ripe red and dark forest fruits. On the palate ripe fruits, a lot of sweet spices, some chocolate, beautiful acidity and soft tannin. A beautiful wine; ready now and the next few years. (4075 views)
Tasted by Quarked on 12/31/2013 & rated 92 points: Full-bodied, with leather, dark fruit, a hint of camphor. Wonderful wine that really got going a couple hours after opening. (4244 views)
Tasted by vanpe003 on 6/26/2013 & rated 90 points: Agree entirely with Pokrcracker's descriptive notes which I won't repeat, because I think they are spot on. However, for me this is not quite as high a score. Nice initial entry, but a bit dark, monolithic. For me, not a great QPR at $30+. (3051 views)
Tasted by Harley1199 on 6/13/2013: Portuguese Douro (Enoteca Barolo - Madrid): Easy WOTN at first but faded quickly
Sweet nose, harmonious.
Tamed tannins on the palate. Nothing special and little hopes for my Pintas 04.

El fácil ganador de la noche pero decayó rápidamente.
Nariz dulce, armónica.
En boca taninos domados. Nada especial y pocas esperanzas para mis Pintas 04. (2829 views)
Tasted by Dar3 on 12/29/2012 & rated 90 points: Hard not to like this. May have liked this even more last time, but still very enjoyable. Drink now. (2709 views)
Tasted by porkcrackers on 11/27/2012 & rated 93 points: I've had bottles costing double the price that were no where near as good and as complete a wine. Overall an old-world wine but with some modern edge.. smoke, leather, scorched earth and ripe black fruit. Exotic yet utilitarian at the same time. More details to come as I consume additional bottles. Fantastic find. (2671 views)
Tasted by empire80 on 7/6/2012 & rated 89 points: Very good but not quite as powerful and fruity as I remember- perhaps getting a bit old? (2513 views)
Tasted by maxima on 1/16/2012 & rated 89 points: Pas carafé mais lui aurait grandement aidé!!!
Au nez, des épices et des fruits noirs avec du café et des notes d’élevage .
En bouche, c’est costaud et ample avec des tannins serrés, d’une longueur impressionnante mais pas encore prêt. (2612 views)
Tasted by midtownmac on 11/20/2011: My second of four bottles from WTSO. What a bargain at 22bucks or so. This is rich, smooth and utterly drinkable right now. I gave it a couple of hours of decant but not sure thats even necessary. Such a wonderful wine full of old world complexity, brings Portugal wines into a whole new light. Solid, solid stuff. Dont usually give scores but definitely 90 plus. (2885 views)
Tasted by Quarked on 8/5/2011 & rated 92 points: Great wine. Thick and full, smoke and leather and earth, with subtle fruits, well-integrated oak and a long finish, similar profile to a Ribera. Was at its best on the 2nd night, so definitely decant. (I finished this off after 4 days, and it was still fantastic!) (2907 views)
Tasted by Rossibreck on 7/29/2011 & rated 95 points: Smoky and even better with opening. First bottle realizing we drank too fast. This one we let open up. Great on the tongue. (2922 views)
Tasted by gesusser on 6/30/2011 & rated 92 points: I echo what DARSH opined...wow (3058 views)
Tasted by nlassow on 4/24/2011 & rated 92 points: WOW. Probably being a little too conservative on the score, but we were floored with this. Mouth coating dark fruit and other not-so-subtle nuances (didn't take very good notes) tangled with succulent smooth tannins. Phenomenal wine. Best quality at this price point in quite some time. These grapes paired with a simply seasoned rare leg of lamb was something to behold. 1-2 hour decant. Should hold up in the cellar for a few years. (3410 views)
Tasted by Wine Minx on 1/30/2011 & rated 90 points: Multi-layered nose of blackberry brandy, dark plum, blueberries and a hint of sweet basil. Nice freshness, notes of vibrant raspberry, blackberry, spice, pine, sweet licorice and some tart cranberry. Velvet mouthfeel, supple tannins. Yum! 60% Touriga Nacional, 25% Tinta Roriz, 15% Touriga Franca. (3409 views)
Tasted by mithomps on 1/28/2011 & rated 91 points: Great bottle of wine. Full nose with earthy flavors. Good oak flavors and nice fruit favors. Got better the longer we let it breathe. (3387 views)
Tasted by sgamiz on 10/5/2010: What a wondeful surprise on this wine - this is my first Duoro Valley Wine I as very happy with it - Leather Tabacco - chocolate flavors with no hard aftertaste. (3840 views)
Tasted by leonardo_de_araujo on 4/10/2010 & rated 91 points: Ripe cherries, plum

Chocolate and coffee on the nose
Nice acidity in the mouth that confirms the nose and lead to a nice and long finish

Tasted by cofidis2 on 3/1/2010 & rated 84 points: Open this a couple of nights ago and finished the last glass this evening. This was an interesting bottle in that it was a combination of an old school Douro with tons of New World oak dominating everything. More restrained and rustic on the palate it reminded me of a more traditional Douro yet I just couldn't get past all that oak. By today the oak had mellow considerably on the palate, letting the fruit shine. But the finish was again marred by a huge oak influence. This would be a very nice wine if they would only reduce the oak influence allowing the wine to speak for itself.

Tasted by Krugsters on 2/26/2010 & rated 94 points: Delicious wine. Beautiful floral noes, roses, coffee, and gorgeous balanced acidity. Smokey finish. Winebid purchase, I wish I had more, this has the stuff to age, plenty of fruit here. (4100 views)
Tasted by Daniel R. on 1/1/2009: Muito bom, delicado mas cheio de potência (3894 views)
Tasted by Vinho on 6/14/2007 & rated 93 points: Aberto há três dias. E/E. (5005 views)
