Tasted by fizz on 4/17/2017 & rated 89 points: Lemon thyme, chalk. Mid weighted, but finishes a little harshly? Kept in the fridge overnight, and the next day that finish was open and long. The fruit flavours were still there and it was more harmonious. (815 views)
Tasted by fizz on 7/15/2016: Lemon butter, talc. Medium bodied, with stone fruits, hints of spice. Enjoyed. Drink over the next 3 years. (964 views)
Tasted by Ozmango on 12/15/2015 & rated 91 points: With a bit of bottle age it continues to impress with its dry Burgundian style. (1030 views)
Tasted by CamWheeler on 5/31/2015 & rated 89 points: Hunter Valley Roadtrip 2015: Toast and ash with some orange. Quite powerful fruit intensity that keeps up well with the oak. Does keep its freshness across the length thanks to the acidity. (1899 views)
Tasted by graemeg on 1/17/2015: Hunter Valley - 6 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {screwcap, 13.5%, A$35} Figs and yeast; grapefruit, peach; the riot of experience on the nose reflects the ‘everything’ approach which went into the making of this; mix of grapehandling, ferment, yeast, battonage, age and origin of oak; this has a bit of everything. Of all the multiple techniques used, it’s the slightly edgy character to the wine which betrays the wild yeast component of the ferment. The palate shows the full spectrum of warm climate chardonnay characters; overall the wine is medium-bodied, with sensible oak treatment, and a medium/long finish. I thought this very good indeed now and probably for the medium term. (2140 views)
Tasted by chatters on 9/13/2014: Wine-Ark boys on tour - Hunter Valley 2014 - Day 2 (Hunter Valley): The nose is funky, rich and complex with lemon, stone fruit, spice, slight yoghurt, cream, toasted nuts and butter. In the mouth the wine has juicy acidity, lemon, slight butter, spice, talc like tannin, and the finish is long. Very complex but a bit all over the place. disjointed. (1154 views)
Tasted by Man in Black on 4/8/2014: Developing nose with medium intensity simple aromas of green apple, peaches, neutral yeast and neutral sweet spices. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has a medium alcohol and medium body with medium+ intensity flavours of green apple, peaches, neutral yeast and sweet spices. Medium finish.

It is a good quality wine with a nice fruit concentration and a decent finish, but not enough to be considered very good, and it could be more complex. (550 views)
Tasted by CamWheeler on 12/30/2013 & rated 88 points: Visit to the Hunter: Popcorn, orange and toast. Rich flavour, a good acid line helps and there is nice length. (1219 views)
