Tasted by PJohnsn on 1/22/2016 & rated 88 points: Pleasant surprise from a back corner of the cellar. Floral nose and finish, soft mouth, dark cherries and black pepper as it opened. (4380 views)
Tasted by Yagil on 12/12/2015 & rated 89 points: P&P
dark opaque red-purple-black
pleasant velvety aromas of dark fruits with spicy notes - quite a surprise for a cheap wine at this advanced age
soft round integrated tannins, still with powerful fruity-spicy flavours, smooth, silky, very enjoyable, dark fruits, oak-vanilla, soft spices, pleasant short finish.
excellent value for money. (4515 views)
Tasted by CentreIce on 5/17/2015: A little on the sweet side. But a great wine. (5081 views)
Tasted by Materatz on 1/5/2013 & rated 89 points: I cant believe Im about to write this about a cheap general listing shiraz, but here goes: what a shock?! This is a very decent wine. Decanted for 30 min, cork was black, and lots of tannin left at the bottom of the bottle. Colour has clarified to a very nice ruby/ garnet. It had a very nice fruity nose, good but more relaxed fruit than when drunk within the first couple years. I usually find young shirazs too much up front, but this has settled down nicely. This had nice, but not overpowering hints of cherry, vanilla, and buttery cream. Tannins have all integrated nicely and this wine has become very very smooth. Subtle and slightly oily finish. This is drinking perfectly now but probably has another couple years left. Frankly, i think this wine should be rated much higher than the average here suggests. I think people are biased by the fact that it is pretty much a cheap wine, as was I, and score it accordingly. I think most would add 5 points to it if you slapped a different label on it. Just happened to find it sitting in the cellar by accident and said what the heck. Wow, was i surprised. I now wish I had bought a case or two for the 10 bucks this stuff cost. Not very complex, but at this price, you could buy several cases and age it for 8 to 10 years and very much enjoy it as an everyday wine that will rival wines at 5 times the price in my opinion.

As a value, this is absolutely excellent. (7737 views)

Tasted by JimmyGibbs on 9/16/2010 & rated 89 points: Tight on first opening, second day very relaxed. Reliable Shiraz. (7537 views)
Tasted by stewtaylor on 4/18/2010 & rated 60 points: Very Jammy, little nose. Quite thin on the palette, (4875 views)
Tasted by jhemming on 7/6/2009 & rated 79 points: pass (5492 views)
Tasted by rmcoliveira on 6/15/2009 & rated 81 points: Granada escuro, denso e opaco, mas com superfície brilhante. (4417 views)
Tasted by gajalaa on 6/14/2009 & rated 86 points: Nice wine for this price, good fruit and spice but finish was short (2454 views)
Tasted by Paul S on 1/27/2009 & rated 88 points: Not half bad. Simple, but cannot be faulted. Nose showed meat and plums. Modern palate, pepper, alcohol, blueberry, prunes. All very plush, decent balance. Finished a touch bittersweet. (2517 views)
Tasted by bambam on 12/28/2008 & rated 82 points: Artificially sweet to the point of bizarre. (5480 views)
Tasted by gajalaa on 10/8/2008 & rated 84 points: good for the price, spicy but fruity, short finish. (2708 views)
Tasted by Farm on 7/3/2008 & rated 83 points: I thought this was a little thin, of course it is probably WAY past its prime. (2815 views)
Tasted by ctbob on 6/2/2008 & rated 81 points: How can a wine be soft yet over-extracted at the same time; somehow this one manages it -- v. reedy finish, and no real structure, but it goes down easy; won't buy more at $5, but I've had worse at five times the price; not one to hold and hope it improves (5603 views)
Tasted by MCrawford on 3/9/2008 & rated 86 points: Dark plum, inky. I would say a bit improved from the last time. Still a smooth, easy drink that never really "firms" up once opened. I found raspberry and black cherry across the palate, but still miss the spice. Medium body and finish. Drinks well for an every day wine. (5590 views)
Tasted by Cottonmather0 on 1/29/2008 & rated 80 points: Still the same old Rosemount Shiraz, very reliable. (5857 views)
Tasted by KSTELIOU on 11/21/2007 & rated 86 points: Nice shiraz with very good value for money (6052 views)
Tasted by Grace 77 on 6/15/2007 & rated 87 points: I have to have some more!!!!!!!!!!! I'm out now... (6741 views)

Tasted by Brian1970 on 6/3/2007 & rated 89 points: Great, everyday Shiraz at an incredible price. Rich purple color, dark berry nose. Dark berry flavor with hints of smoke. This would go beautifully with burgers. (6788 views)
Tasted by Grace 77 on 5/19/2007 & rated 86 points: I never get tired of this wine. It's very good for the price point and it tastes just as good the next day. (6982 views)
Tasted by Quercus on 5/15/2007 & rated 86 points: Deep purple colored Shiraz. Lots of fruit and accessible. Little tannins present. A bit too weet for my taste. Easy drinking with more depth than other inexpensive Australian Shiraz that I have tasted. (6749 views)
Tasted by Cottonmather0 on 4/27/2007 & rated 81 points: Still the same old Rosemount Shiraz, very reliable. (6736 views)
