Tasted by Ridgerunner on 1/13/2024 & rated 91 points: Not my favorite varietal and a bit sweet for me, but terrific with the proper food pairing. (102 views)
Tasted by Ridgerunner on 12/16/2023 & rated 92 points: Terrific with spicy seafood dishes, this is on the sweet side. (104 views)
Tasted by AlphaMikeFoxtrot on 10/13/2021 & rated 89 points: Off dry - there's definite RS here. Overripe lychee, apricots, nectarines, preserved yellow apples. Medium + body, not much acid. Wonderfully long finish and a very rounded wine. Just starting to decline. (374 views)
Tasted by ihavezinned on 8/31/2020 & rated 92 points: clear, golden yellow, showing some age.
Aromas of honey, white stone fruit, apricot, and apple.
Semi-sweet, full bodied with fresh smooth acidity.
Good balance, very flavorful with slight oxidation, peach, apple, and pear.
Very long finish. Traditional style. Very nice and refreshing. (440 views)
Tasted by Ridgerunner on 3/15/2020 & rated 91 points: still very nice, but perhaps waning a bit. (447 views)
Tasted by Ridgerunner on 10/23/2019 & rated 91 points: May not be rating this high enough... not something I often taste. (495 views)
Tasted by Lyubomir Lefterov on 5/8/2018 & rated 89 points: With 24 g/l res sugar, this is definitelly on the offdry scale.Grapes picked at full ripeness, alc 13.5%.
Color is goden brown, nose is a bit muted with some developed aromas in the mouth steely with some quince and exotic fruits. Enjoyed with stilton and leeks tart, decent food wine, but with grand cru label expectations are high. (1158 views)
Tasted by Ridgerunner on 1/26/2016 & rated 92 points: Unique aged Pinot Gris (1788 views)
Tasted by Ridgerunner on 3/24/2015 & rated 93 points: This is a wonderfully unique wine with a special taste profile. (2052 views)
Tasted by forceberry on 1/28/2015 & rated 91 points: 13,4% alcohol, 13 g/l residual sugar according to the winery representative, 24 g/l according to the winery website. 4,8 g/l acidity.

Intense, medium-deep yellow-green color. Somewhat restrained and elegant nose with complex aromas of smoke, exotic spices, a little bit of mirabelle plums, a hint of honeyed richness and a touch of apple compote. The wine is off-dry, velvety smooth and moderately full-bodied on the palate with layered, mature flavors of wizened apricots, stony minerality that slowly grows in intensity, some apple jam, a little bit of exotic spice, a hint of honeyed richness and a touch of smoke. The wine doesn't feel big and weighty, which is good because the wine is only medium in acidity. The finish is long, nuanced and smooth with rich, complex flavors of exotic spices, ripe apples, some mirabelle plums, a little bit of stony minerality and a hint of smoke.

A very lovely, rich and enjoyably developed Pinot Gris in a pleasant off-dry style. Overall the wine could've used a bit higher acidity, but seeing how nicely it is drinking now, I really don't mind. Most likely the wine isn't on its plateau of maturity yet, but will be soon. Probably peaking at approximately 10 years of age and will keep from some time from there on. Nice stuff that can be paired with some spicier dishes. (652 views)
Tasted by henrygjeffreys on 4/28/2014: dark colour
spicy nose, ginger and honey
sweet, much too sweet
unbalanced and cloying (2454 views)
Tasted by Dapz on 7/9/2013 & rated 90 points: Honey, lemon curd, banana and minerality on the nose. Lemon merengue and honey on the palate. Off dry, medium plus body, alcohol is high but well integrated. Medium acid. Long finish. (3524 views)
Tasted by liberlibri on 6/24/2013 & rated 89 points: Pear blossoms, peach, lemon, mineral, cucumber, and apple on the nose with an off-dry palate combining fresh acidity that properly balanced the fruit while cold (but didn't so much when the wine came up a bit in temperature). Quite flavorful with a medium finish. Very pretty wine. (1704 views)

Tasted by ElGreco on 10/21/2012 & rated 80 points: Comically one dimensional. Nose of green apples and tastes of green apples, and that's it. A very short finish. How is this a Grand Cru? (1790 views)
Tasted by christophee on 1/22/2012 & rated 91 points: Lite gold and heavy in the glass. Thick nose of honey, papaya, pineapple, cantaloupe, stone fruit, white tea and pepper. Secondary terpene and flowers. Med-full body and mouth coating with the nose redux on the palate. Balanced thick fruit and spice layers held together with pleasant waxiness and lychee. Enough structure to hold its weight. Medium finish. Moderately complex and definitely serviceable. (1585 views)
Tasted by Omar Khayyam on 2/1/2011 & rated 86 points: Alsace vindag 31 jan; 1/31/2011-2/1/2011 (Operaterassen, Stockholm): Fine nose, even lovely in its expression, but quite sweet. (2386 views)

Pinot Gris

From Pinot Gris Wikipedia entry:
Wines made from the Pinot gris vary greatly and are dependent on the region and wine making style they are from. Alsatian Pinot gris are medium to full bodied wines with a rich, somewhat floral bouquet. They tend to be spicy in comparisons with other Pinot gris. While most Pinot gris are meant to be consumed early, Alsatian Pinot gris can age well. German Pinot gris are more full-bodied with a balance of acidity and slight sweetness. In Oregon the wines are medium bodied with a yellow to copper-pink color and aromas of pear, apple, and/or melon. In California, the Pinot gris are more light bodied with a crisp, refreshing taste with some pepper and arugula notes. The Pinot grigio style of Italy is a light-bodied, often lean wine that is light in color with sometimes spritzy flavors that can be crisp and acidic. Although this wine can be very sweet, it will begin to lose its acidity when it is nearly ripe.

Pinot gris is considered an "early to market wine" that can be bottled and out on the market within 4–12 weeks after fermentation.
