For $20 this is the best value in pinot I think I've ever come across. At 8 years old this is moving towards being mostly secondary, but you can tell there was some beautiful fruit here. It's still there, but the earthy, mushroom, truffle, and mineral qualities dominate in an extremely elegant, Burgundian way. Bright nose of Pinot fruit with some savoury compliments. Beetroot, rose hip, lingonberry, perfume, pine, rooibos and a touch of smoky/butterscotch oak.
Rather lightbodied and supple on the palate with acidity rising towards the finish. Some pepper, rose hip, liquorice, minerality and oak. Good length.

Bright fresh strawberry fruit. Deep fruity and spicy nuances with a ligth feel of creamy oak in the finish. Kicks the teeth out of the most red burgundies in that price range. Will buy more!
