Tasted by redz on 12/21/2023 & rated 92 points: Holding up nicely from my review last year. (351 views)
Tasted by red.red.vino on 9/22/2023: 3 hours in the decanter prior to drinking. Still powering on, needs that time to open up fully. Great example of Barossa shiraz. Two Hands in an era at their best. Few more years left in the tank here. (533 views)
Tasted by redz on 8/6/2022 & rated 93 points: That's a great old shiraz. Rich, full, has lots more time. (1254 views)
Tasted by empire80 on 5/14/2022 & rated 94 points: Wow, 8 years on from my last bottle and this is still middle-aged, the cellartracker window is way out, this will go a few more years easily, probably to 2030. Best served slightly cool, there's loads of blue and black fruit, still some fresh acidity, some herbs, lavender, a classy and balanced wine. (1462 views)
Tasted by azwino on 1/15/2022: Pnp. Color was still dark purple. Dark fruits, blueberry pie spices. Great lasting finish. We have one if the case left and there is no hurry to open it. This was an excellent Two Hands. (1734 views)
Tasted by Winokdub on 1/15/2022 & rated 95 points: A beautifully brooding powerhouse wine. Not for the faint of heart but so well made and has many good years ahead. (1531 views)
Tasted by traxxx on 7/24/2021 & rated 92 points: Been Year's since I've had this. The alcoholic heat has subsided a lot and allowed the jammy fruits to come forward. A much more food friendly wine than it was in the past. Dark cherry and plum dominate into a big finish. Still a big wine, but not overwhelming. (2055 views)
Tasted by Winokdub on 4/6/2021 & rated 95 points: This is a seriously powerful wine with so much going on but held together with a beautiful dose of bright acid, mild tannin and finishes smooth and long. Wow! (1657 views)
Tasted by Somm David T on 1/9/2021 & rated 95 points: The nose shows; ruby, floral & candied fruits of; mulberries, gooseberries, ollallieberries, boysenberries blackberries, black raspberries, both plums, black cherries with raspberries hovering across the top. Grilled, savory meats, black pepper, dark spice, dark cola, dark chocolate, anise to black licorice, dark expresso grounds, sweet tarriness, older tobacco, very used leather, limestone minerals, crushed rocks, incense, ambers, dry tree sap, dry herbs-sage, bat leaf, eucalyptus notes, moist, forest floor, moist, grey clay with withering, fresh & candied florals that are; purple, dark, blue and red set in pronounced lavender & violets woven in.

The body is; full, lush, rich, round, juicy & velvety. It glides across the palate in total gorgeous elegance. The structure, tension, balance & length are at their high point with another 5-8 years of solid drinking with a few years beyond if you enjoy that later stage. I am one who doesn’t protest that part of the life cycle. The tannins are round, pulpy and are still meaty. Fruits are; ruby, touch jammy, floral & candied fruits of; mulberries, gooseberries, boysenberries, ollallieberries, blackberries, black raspberries, both plums, black cherries, blueberries with raspberries hovering across the top. Grilled, savory meats, black pepper, notes of Worcestershire sauce, dark combo of Indian & some Asian spices that bring heat, dark cola, dark chocolate, caramel, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, anise to black licorice, dark expresso grounds, sweet tarriness, older tobacco, oak barrel shaving dust, somewhat card toast, very used leather, limestone minerals, crushed rocks, incense, ambers, dry tree sap, dry herbs-sage, bay leaf, eucalyptus notes, moist, forest floor, moist, muddy, grey clay with withering, fresh & candied florals that are; purple, dark, blue and red set in pronounced lavender & violets woven in. The acidity is round & excellent. The finish is stunningly well knitted, balanced fruit & earth, elegant, gorgeous, that loads lush & juicy and falls on to deep spices persisting for days.

Stunning example of what Australian Shiraz can be with the right patience. (2110 views)
Tasted by azwino on 11/26/2020: Decanted for about two hands. Wow, what a class of wine. No formal notes, but everything is in harmony. Blueberry with pie spices. Great mouthfeel, and weight. Can’t wait for my last two bottles. (1499 views)
Tasted by Paul Lin on 10/13/2020 & rated 90 points: Slow O'ed for 8 hours. Rich notes of ripe blueberries, fig, cola, hoisin, and brown spices over game and cured meat. Supple texture. Drinking really well. (1714 views)
Tasted by stayhappy21 on 6/23/2020 & rated 94 points: Opened this to celebrate a wedding anniversary with food from Pietro Restaurant.

Wine was marvelous tonight, as it has constantly showed over the past few years. Brick red in colour with a sudden aplomb of plums, rich ripe berries, mocha, aged leather, dark chocolate, and prunes.

Sweet on the palate with a beautiful complexion. Soothing on the palate with good structure and character.

Last bottle from a case of 6 bottles, still youthful and energetic after 15 years. A testament to what good wine makers can do in good vintages. (1740 views)
Tasted by eadsaaron on 6/11/2020 & rated 95 points: 3rd bottle. Full body, long finish, high complexity. Peak drinking. Classic shiraz notes of sassafras, cola, sweet tobacco, fruitcake, blueberry. (1522 views)
Tasted by SteelerFan on 5/31/2020 & rated 94 points: This is great stuff. Smooth and complex but retains the richness of an Aussie Shiraz. Long finish, great red fruit and smooth tannins. All in balance. (1318 views)
Tasted by Magic Slim on 4/29/2020 & rated 93 points: Very nice deep and smooth well worth the wait (1448 views)
Tasted by DoubleMagnum on 4/16/2020 & rated 93 points: Deep deep garnet in color. On the nose, there are notes of creme de cassis, milk chocolate, sweet tobacco and savory herbs. Ripe but dry on the palate. I honestly expected a jammier wine. Acid is medium, and also slightly higher than I expected. Tannins are medium (-), mouthfeel is silky. Alcohol is high but is balanced on the mid-palate. It's only perceivable towards the end. The finish is long, warm and embracing. Drink now and within the next five years.

This wine definitely delivered and I am glad I waited as it spent over twelve years in my cellar. It has turned into something exquisite. (1406 views)
Tasted by Stevey on 2/10/2020 & rated 93 points: Pulled from 13C and let sit vertical for 24h. Blackberry, fruit forward. Slightly disappointed as I expected greater complexity. Did not improve during 2 hours. Tannins have integrated, this wine has peaked. I don't see it getting better. Drink now. (1551 views)
Tasted by B&PBaker on 1/13/2020 & rated 88 points: A little too subdued for me. Not what I am expecting from a supposedly big Aussie shiraz. Good, just not very big or bold. (1471 views)
Tasted by eadsaaron on 1/9/2020 & rated 93 points: Rich and dark, with plum, blackberry, fruitcake, sassafras. (1383 views)
Tasted by Brad Tsai on 12/16/2019 & rated 93 points: Wonderful on the noses. Lots dark fruit on the palate, well balanced. (1360 views)
Tasted by buckeye76 on 11/30/2019 & rated 95 points: Delicious! Still very deep in color, a huge wine that is also elegant. Tons of dark fruits in the nose and flavor. Plums, blackberries, blueberries, black cherries, licorice, and hints of spice, mineral, and floral. The 2005 Bella's garden is a rich, medium to full bodied wine, It is very well balanced with nice complexity, and a long smooth finish. Yum... 95/96 (1310 views)
Tasted by PMJak11 on 9/20/2019 & rated 90 points: Absolutely massive wine!!

Dark purple color. Plums, prunes, alcohol, and baking spices on the nose. Concentrated and fruit forward. Dark fruit and spice on the palate. Insanely long finish.

2 glass minimum for how big this wine is! :) Might last till 2119!! (1490 views)
Tasted by felixp on 5/22/2019 & rated 97 points: still powering along superbly, indeed this has hardly budged since my last tasting a year ago. Beautiful Barossa fruit underpinned by firm yet ripe tannins. The purity of this wine sets it apart from the pack. Amazing. (2009 views)
Tasted by azwino on 5/12/2019: Decanted for about 45 minutes and drank over 2 hours. Dark, inky purple. Dark fruit, cherry, rasinettes. Velvety texture. Rich, with a little acidity hanging in there. Tannins have faded, except for a touch of bitterness on the finish. Medium length finish. Consistent on day 2. This is drinking beautifully. (1538 views)
Tasted by Mhbeaune on 4/6/2019 & rated 93 points: decanted for 45minutes. strong persistent nose of rich dark fruits. no chocolate not overly sweet as are so many New World. Full, round and smooth all the rich dark fruits you could want and no sign of tannins unless you suck air through your teeth ! I positively like this wine BUT would find any more than 2 glasses too much. Whilst not my style of wine by choice it is still very impressive and well made without being overblown although the strong sunshine of the Barossa is evident.
Drinking beautifully but sure it has another 4 or 5 years at least.
Maybe my score is a little low. (1679 views)

In 2000 they started with just 17 tonnes of fruit from the McLaren Vale and Padthaway wine regions, and the heart of the operation is based in the Barossa Valley. Since the winery opened, Two Hands sucess has gone from strength to strength with numerous accolades defining the culture of the organization. Two Hands Wines were listed in the Wine Spectator Top 100 for the last five years with two listings in the top 10, and the Ares was voted one of the 25 Benchmark Wines of Australia.
