Tasted by redz on 11/26/2022 & rated 92 points: Really nice rich, smooth. Still young. (923 views)
Tasted by KJD45$ on 8/17/2022 & rated 91 points: It’s an herbal Provence nose for sure..backed up by some red purple fruit…
Nose follows onto the palate but plum and garrigue emerge on the palate..
Good finish good wine (1143 views)
Tasted by RalfRufus on 7/31/2022 & rated 90 points: With BBQ outstanding (1022 views)
Tasted by ogres3 on 3/9/2022 & rated 91 points: Hadn't tried this since our wolf died. Looks like it has improved with age. Relatively full bodied wine with rich fruit, pleasantly integrated. (1363 views)
Tasted by TJay on 3/6/2022 flawed bottle: Heat damage (1311 views)
Tasted by Amerique on 2/7/2022 & rated 94 points: Previous notes apply with ample acid and slight flint flavors, delicious, very good wine (1101 views)
Tasted by MicklethePickle on 10/28/2021 & rated 92 points: Day 2. Pretty strawberry jam and red fruit aromas. Redcurrant. In the mouth, round, ripe, tannins in check and mostly gone, quite nice. Rather impressive, especially for the appellation. 5-13-16-8: 92/100. (1295 views)
Tasted by MicklethePickle on 10/27/2021 & rated 89 points: Popped and poured. Very dark red, no sign of age. Nose is earthy with hints of red fruit. Quite nice in the mouth, with tobacco and red fruit. Nice finish. 4-11-16-8: 89/100. (1216 views)
Tasted by ogres3 on 10/13/2021 & rated 90 points: Solid. Medium to full bodied. (979 views)
Tasted by GlenviewGSW on 9/27/2021 & rated 93 points: Minimal notes but wine really opened up after a couple of hours. Dark ripe fruit and long rich but balanced finish. (1013 views)
Tasted by GoBlue2002 on 8/3/2021 & rated 92 points: Hit the spot tonight. Very modern in style.
Not the most complex, just tasty.
Cherry, plum, meatiness of syrah, plush. (1164 views)
Tasted by John McCabe on 7/31/2021 & rated 93 points: Exceeded expectations - this was brooding, so much dark fruit along with power. Wish I got more of this. (1020 views)
Tasted by vinko84 on 6/8/2021 & rated 93 points: Outstanding value for the money. Great pairing with lamb chops. (893 views)
Tasted by jackaroo on 4/5/2021 & rated 93 points: All the Puech Haut Pic St. Loup needed was a little more cellar time. If you waited (six years assuming proper cellar storage) a definite 93. (1144 views)
Tasted by ogres3 on 3/12/2021 & rated 91 points: Same as prior notes. (1083 views)
Tasted by ogres3 on 3/12/2021 & rated 90 points: A very solid alternative when you've had a long day and just want to pop and drink a pleasant wine without the quaffing and praising and wondering if you're really getting $50/glass of enjoyment. (971 views)
Tasted by gallu on 2/7/2021 & rated 91 points: 91 Rojo rubí brillante, bien cubierto. (1203 views)
Tasted by KJD45$ on 12/26/2020 & rated 90 points: Opened thru Venturi.....
Needs time to open..
At first nose and flavor is dominated by a Provence herbs scent..
Slight note of stewed fruit..eventually all that gives way to a better
dark fruits experience....it’s an interesting wine and one I will like to see
Over next few years...it’s retained a rustic note throughout the night.. (1143 views)
Tasted by ogres3 on 6/5/2020 & rated 90 points: Very good QPR. Full-bodied, rich fruit, good week-day wine. (1554 views)
Tasted by Amerique on 5/23/2020 & rated 93 points: Round lush delicious dark strawberry/blueberry fruit, excellent structure, ample finish, very good value (1426 views)
Tasted by quaffnov on 5/22/2020 & rated 92 points: Hour and a half decant, the nose and the palate are slightly sweet with dark fruit, vanilla, pleasant spices. Full bodied with a silky mouthfeel that is long lasting, the syrah and grenache are well balanced and blended together perfectly. (1395 views)
Tasted by azscot on 4/24/2020 & rated 90 points: Deep ruby with black fruit and some herbs, medium acidity and firm tannins. Paired with a tritip. The Syrah is a bit overpowering for me in this blend and I feel it could have done with a greater percentage of Grenache. (1445 views)
Tasted by HU on 4/19/2020 & rated 92 points: Dark, rich, medium-to-full-bodied, slightly sweetish Grenache(60%)-Syrah(40%) Rhone blend, with delicious tastes of figs, plums, dark honey, black berry, pepper and spices. PnP and drank. Could it have used more air? May be, may be not: I enjoyed it too much directly out of the bottle to wait and compare. 92 points. … March 28, 2022: still very enjoyable, though perhaps not quite a 92. Downgrading to 91? I keep it to 92 for now: it develops during the evening. In a good place now. Strawberries, cherry, licorice. (1481 views)
Tasted by ogres3 on 4/8/2020 & rated 90 points: Enjoyable. Benefits from air. Full-bodied, dark fruit. Not overly nuanced or exciting, but good pounder/QPR (1092 views)
Tasted by Jackbnielsen on 2/23/2020 & rated 91 points: Surprisingly good for the price. (1197 views)
