Tasted by swade on 11/7/2023 & rated 92 points: Primary color. Smokey aromas. Classy entry. Dark fruit melange. Medium, clean finish. I expect this will improve with another 2-5 years in the cellar. 92 (775 views)
Tasted by Gnieboer on 2/25/2023 & rated 94 points: Lovely. Incredibly floral on the nose, settled down after only 30 minutes and presented a mix of blueberry and blackberry with a soft graphite finish. I think now is the time to drink this. (1182 views)
Tasted by KJD45$ on 7/10/2022 & rated 92 points: Very good but stops way short of memorably great… (1545 views)
Tasted by EMark on 5/8/2022: Dark plum color with tart fruit aromas. Blueberry is the dominant impression on the tip of the tongue--with, maybe, a suggestion of anise. Graphite sensation mid-palate. Surprisingly, light on tannin makes this wine quite approachable. (1530 views)
Tasted by KJD45$ on 3/26/2022 & rated 92 points: Nose is boysenberry, cinnamon,..graphite…
Graphite hit up front, then amalgamation of tannin blue/black fruit
Leading to a balanced finish but still drying tannins….
Good drinking experience…certainly stays far away from a Caymus over extracted fruit bomb…feels like maybe could use a year or two.. (1725 views)
Tasted by Mark1npt on 3/9/2022 & rated 95 points: Last bottle of this nice '16 in the cellar....opened for HMC during/after dinner as our other bottles were getting low. Very dark, black fruit to start, maybe a tad course in the mouth but within one hour in the decanter this one changed dramatically. It became smooth, and much deeper in the fruit with a tad of dark red fruit also showing up. It's a solid wine and very well balanced at this stage.....and has performed/scored very consistently over the past 3-4 years for me. No real drop off as of yet coming up on 6 years of age. Definitely benefits from a few hours of air at this stage. (3316 views)
Tasted by sonodoc on 1/17/2021 & rated 96 points: Wow! This was seriously good. Boysenberry, blueberry, currants - interesting fruit flavors, and a little chocolate, with a very luxurious mouthfeel. I found the tannins supple and subtle. I have been enjoying trying out the different Myriad wines, and this so far has been one of my favorites particularly on a QPR basis. (2666 views)
Tasted by Venezia on 1/16/2021 & rated 95 points: nose: boysenberry pie and hint of cedar
taste: well integrated tannins, dark fruits, tobacco, (2124 views)
Tasted by Mark1npt on 12/20/2020 & rated 95 points: Not fair to have this on the heels of the other Myriad tonight, but had to keep it in the vintage of '16.....much darker black raspberry fruit....different brambly texture. Touch of charcoal. Very well balanced but through no fault of its own lacks the pedigree of both of the Cranes from earlier this evening......still, could possibly be the best wine of many a lifetimes to many people. We are truly blessed!

ps.....last glass of the night after being open for 5 hours and it shines a point more, 96 at the close. Deep red/black fruit, more complexity and more weight given the added time in the glass. A riveting wine with great acidity even at the end. (3459 views)
Tasted by Nutty08 on 11/7/2020 & rated 93 points: Great Napa cab. Large scaled and ripe with considerable depth, but well balanced. My wife, who generally doesn’t like the scale/ripeness of Napa cab was a big fan. Mix of currants and classic notes, quite fresh and concentrated. Tannins are there but pleasant and adding structure. Mild chocolate notes on the finish. (2047 views)
Tasted by Crawfordesquire on 9/10/2020 & rated 95 points: 3 hour decant. no flab, oak is in balance (or whatever that means). serious amount of acid and tannin, some may find that unusual for a mike smith wine.
this reminds me of like an old school Viader back when they made decent wine. (2163 views)
Tasted by Justinwine on 7/31/2020 & rated 93 points: enjoyed (1605 views)
Tasted by twither on 6/28/2020 & rated 95 points: This was very good. 94-95. (1724 views)
Tasted by Stevethebeav on 3/8/2020 & rated 92 points: 30 min decant. Needs much more and time in the bottle. It is very well structured and balanced already. Just needs time to unwind and open up that fruit. Great texture and mouthfeel. (1746 views)
Tasted by michigan dogs on 1/31/2020 & rated 94 points: I really liked this cab. If tasted blind I would never have guessed that it is a Mike Smith cab and secondly I would have thought it was not 100% cab, maybe cab franc. It was softer than most of Mike's cabs, in a very good way. Smooth, balanced, just a great cab. Unfortunately I have no more of this vintage. (1943 views)
Tasted by Yack Man on 11/23/2019 & rated 95 points: The wine has great personality and nice balance, it is quite tasty, in fact better than any other that l have tried from this appellation. Full bodied with a dark purple/ red color, good extraction and flavors. Nice dark, ripe black and blueberry fruit, cream de cassis, pencil shavings with the right amount acidity at this point. I don’t typically buy a lot from the Three Twins appellation. I’ve tried Stone the Crow, and although good, it didn’t quite overwhelm me, this 2016 Three Twins is the best that I’ve tasted. 94+ Points. (2426 views)
Tasted by ageverett on 8/31/2019 & rated 94 points: Got maybe two hours of air. Went great with steaks. (2805 views)
Tasted by Rktekt3 on 8/5/2019 & rated 93 points: PNP. It was nice to begin with but within an hour had opened up and integrated. After about two hours the fruit really started to show. (2230 views)
Tasted by Mark1npt on 11/27/2018 & rated 94 points: Initially a 93 but improved with time and air. Deeper, more complex nose and taste profile than the Napa Valley but it also takes about an hour to emerge. Give this a little time and you'll find it the best bang for the buck in the Myriad stable. Thanks to HowellMountainCru for opening. (3726 views)
Tasted by HowellMountainCru on 11/26/2018 & rated 94 points: Coravin pour along side of Myriad Napa. Very similar plush, low acid, ready-to-drink-early wines. Fruit more black than blue or red. Napa was smoky, dense, chocolate, French oak dominated. Three twins was a bit more restrained and more balanced but with a similar profile. Both in the 93-94 range IMO.
Day 2 opened up an showed more balance and finesses . 94 (2707 views)
Tasted by bplant13 on 11/4/2018 & rated 94 points: This wine is good, even great, but I don’t see the 97+ that Lisa from WA gave it last month. The nose has nice black fruits, camp fire smoke, leather and oak. Big body with more dark berries and some plum. More smoke near the finish which is a nice 20+ seconds of mouth watering goodness. My first 3 twins, and Quite a different wine from the Crane or G3 offerings, but a solid wine. Myriad consistently offers great QPR, but I’m still not sure this warrants a 97+... This did improve with air, so I’m curious to see how my next bottle evolves in a couple years. (2598 views)
Tasted by Badmonkey on 7/21/2018 & rated 93 points: Dark purple fruit - blackberry, dark currants, and a little dark cherry. Like Mike's other 2016 cabs, really smooth coupled with a nice purity, however, I thought the fruit came across a little lighter in comparison to most of his other 2016 cabs. Like the Quivet Pellet cab, I believe the 3 Twins fruit tends to need a year or two for it to fill-out/add some weight. Nice vibrant flavors of dark berries, some spice, and a little graphite component. Fairly long finish. Apparently the bottles were open for a couple hours in light of a prior tasting. 100% cab. (3984 views)
Tasted by Yack Man on 7/14/2018 & rated 94 points: Nice dark purple, blue color and nose. On the palate dark and ripe blue and black berry fruit, hints of coca, tobacco notes, nice concentration and extraction along with some tannins. In the past, this has not been a favorite, this vintage is pretty impressive. 93-95 Points. (2626 views)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.

Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet Sauvignon

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
