Tasted by Papies on 11/18/2023 & rated 89 points: A new mountain in London (Mountain Restaurant , London): Side by side with the 2012 Felsen II ( Papies 90) and a bit of a marmite wine. Soft juicy fruit, difficult to pinpoint ( Especially as we served this blind) , good round and polished but lacking an exciting side. Not sure if when younger this was more exuberant but at this stage is a but muted and a lacking an exciting side. Good 89 (408 views)
Tasted by ste_wolf on 9/8/2021 & rated 94 points: big blaufränkisch from christian tschida.elegant and fresh with mighty tannin grip.so straight and very high pressure on the palate.tobacco, blackberry, funky spicyness.enourmous lenght.savory finish.a bomb. (322 views)
Tasted by Klugi Wine on 4/23/2021 & rated 93 points: Walinauten Zoom Tasting with Christian Tschida (Zoom): Excellent Blaufränkisch with a bouquet of sour cherries, limestone chalkiness, some herbs and white pepper. If tasted blind, one would probably end up somewhere between Beaune and Ampuis, since the wine seems burgundian and has some northern rhone Syrah spiciness.
Overall this convinces with freshness, purity, intensity, but at the same time some ethereal lightness. Highly recommended with at least another decade of evolution ahead. (416 views)
Tasted by JohanPe on 2/28/2020 & rated 93 points: No formal notes, simply from memory. Must be one of the most elegant and refined Blaufränkisch I've ever tasted. Light on its feet with sour berries, violets, liquorice and herbs. Backbone of superb acidity. Very high quality. (530 views)
