Tasted by ciaovito on 5/7/2024 & rated 92 points: Telltale apple sauce, ginger, honey and quinine. Very tangy with nice acidic lift. Although I like this wine, not sure if it will be a 10-12 year vintage. Seems to lack a bit of character older Bourg have shown . (413 views)
Tasted by wayfarer on 4/20/2024 & rated 91 points: Very nice, moderate weight, crisp with lingering touch of honey. A bit more wool, lemon/lime and floral notes as wine opened, to go with light stone fruit, apple, pear. Definitely improved with air time. Did not find pronounced acid core some note, but sufficient on its own and to complement dinner of sauteed sea scallops. Enjoyable. (511 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 10/24/2023 & rated 91 points: Rich orchard fruit aromas and flavors with some lemon curd notes, this is impressively rich, but seems like it is on the "demi-sec" side of a "sec" to me. Good now, but I am planning to give my remaining bottles more time in the cellar, with possible upside from here. (1656 views)
Tasted by jlm on 10/8/2023: Drinking very well. Similar to my note from July, unsurprisingly. Clear, delineated aromas and flavors are a delight. What really stood out to me this time was the long, mineral finish. Expressive now but still young. (1022 views)
Tasted by aagrawal on 8/27/2023 & rated 92 points: Coravin. Golden; aromatic, quince, honeyed; slightly off dry but as expected for "sec" Vouvray, medium-plus refreshing acidity, medium (13%) alcohol, lemon-lime, a bit of wet wool, a bit of quince; finish is medium length. Always distinctive, always a treat, and in this bottle showing quite youthful with a decade ahead of it. 92 (1091 views)
Tasted by jlm on 6/21/2023: Expressive nose with waxy apple, pollen and almond. The modest residual sugar gives the palate some roundness, but it's not perceptibly sweet, and there's a zingy acidic core throughout. Drinking well, with some upside yet for further aging. (1198 views)
Tasted by norway08 on 6/20/2023 & rated 93 points: Loire chenin with 21 grams of residual sugar. Aromas of quince, honeydew melon, bruised apple, grapefruit and ginger. Concentrated, full bodied and long. A reference wine for semi-sweet chenin blancs! (1343 views)
Tasted by jviz on 5/24/2023 & rated 92 points: Really nice rendition of the Clos du Bourg. This wine was riper, more concentrated and sappy next to le Haut Lieu of the same vintage.

Compact and serious with dried fruit, thick dark honey and lime peel. Long finish with the alcohol a little more showy on this bottle. My 2nd favorite of the flight. (1451 views)
Tasted by Rich S on 11/10/2022 & rated 92 points: Pale golden color. Really pretty nose with ripe stone fruit, lemon zest, powdery crushed rock, lanolin, maybe some earl grey tea. Really a pleasure to smell this wine. Similar flavors on the palate with a mix of ripe fruit balanced by some savory and mineral driven flavors. High acidity balances out the ripeness of the fruit and the wine seems pretty much dry on the palate. Long finish. Glad to have another bottle in the cellar. Excellent QPR. (1169 views)
Tasted by mrgarreth on 5/15/2022 & rated 90 points: It’s not ready yet but it’s just phenomenal even it youth. Ripe stone fruit, grapefruit, and bergamot with solid acidity and such concentration. It’s a brilliant wine that’s going to deliver for many years ahead. (1652 views)
Tasted by mrgarreth on 3/26/2022 & rated 90 points: This is clearly going to be a phenomenal wine. The structure is so tight and fine at the moment, with so much crisp fruit (apple, white peach, apricot). It was great to try it and cannot wait to revisit it nearer the end of the decade. (1615 views)
Tasted by Deux Chevaux on 12/31/2021: Pale straw. Quite dry, with beautiful acid backbone, upon opening. Then with 30 min of air some pleasant musky/lanolin/herbal characteristics came to the fore. This seems poised to develop nicely, and we will try to hold off opening another for a few years. (1938 views)
Tasted by MichaelMA on 9/20/2021 & rated 93 points: Pretty much a perfect representation of this wine. Drinking spectacularly. (1972 views)
Tasted by EhrlichDY on 9/11/2021: Popped and poured. Fantastic from the get go with loads of sweet apple fruit and plenty of acid to add balance. This seemed sweeter than I’m used to for a Sec but that’s not a complaint. I’m just not sure if it’s the style or the vintage. This should age wonderfully if premox doesn’t occur. (1961 views)
Tasted by Aravind Asok on 8/8/2021: Pop and pour yesterday, in the fridge overnight; benchmarking. Yesterday, loads of soft sweet apple, a hint of lanolin, soft herbs...A touch softer on the nose today with more of the same...so lovely. On the palate: fantastic acidity, and good depth and density. As always, these improve immensely with age. Let's see if I can keep my hands off another one for a few years. Fantastic. (2048 views)
Tasted by VolatileMonkey on 5/29/2021 & rated 93 points: very nice vouvray. slightly pricier than Le Haut-Lieu from the same producer.. somehow I prefer the cheaper one! will have to wait for them to cellar a while longer before I finally decide which I prefer. (2022 views)
Tasted by The Wineosceros on 5/9/2021 & rated 82 points: Pear to dried fruit. Opens beautifully into a rounded, pleasant wine. Fruit forward with lingering flavours, although not multi-dimentional. (1297 views)
Tasted by christyler on 5/4/2021 & rated 91 points: Nice showing - I like these young. (2093 views)
Tasted by maxima on 4/19/2021 & rated 91 points: Très beau Chenin, bien droit et vif.
Pommes et poires avec une pointe mielleuse.
Fleurs et épices en arrière-plan.
Pas mal long en finale avec une belle
impression de minéraux. (2595 views)
Tasted by randyjc on 3/12/2021 & rated 93 points: The wine is much better day 2. On initial opening it seemed more angular than is typical for Huet, and the flavors were a bit muted. Day two it opened showing soft white tree fruit including some tart apple. Pronounced and delicious minerality, lengthy high-acid finish. Quite an excellent wine. (2068 views)
Tasted by Capitán Sulfito on 1/13/2021: I had many doubts but couldn't resist drinking now. This will certainly improve with age but drinking now is by no means an infanticide. Massive acidity, concentration, "grip", focus and power. Outstanding. (2238 views)
Tasted by mercurius on 12/28/2020 & rated 90 points: This was high acid and still needs some time to come together in my humble opinion. Hold. (1943 views)
Tasted by DaddyNeedsPow on 10/3/2020: Packed with potential. Aromas explode with the pull of the cork. I get lots of apple/pear on the nose, with a barest hint of honeycomb. Good acidity that sneaks up on you, and seemed more pronounced the second night. I love these wines when they have some age on them, opening this was just a frivolity, and the others will be comfortable in the cellar for quite some time. (2255 views)
Tasted by amateur62 on 9/18/2020: Decanted and enjoyed over the next two hours. Does a big evolution in this two hours. Starts tight and very dry with high acidity, dominated by lemon and a mineral touch, rounds up with time and as it get warmer, on the nose it adds first melon and with the last glass eucalyptus and a hint of sweet flowers but stays dry on the palate, medium to long finish. For sure very young if not too young, but it shows superb ageing potential and gives the certainty of a big pleasure in some years, will be best between 2025 and 2035, superb. (2153 views)
Tasted by WEB,III on 7/13/2020 & rated 89 points: Very young. Takes a while to open up. Not convinced there is significant upside with age. (2308 views)
