Tasted by Lobonick on 10/31/2017 & rated 93 points: Astonishing and hedonistic dry white wine. Cloudy yellow color because it’s unfiltered. Nose is gorgeous with apple, pear, peach, talcum, white pepper, sweet citrus, and just a touch of anise. Palate shows palate-cleansing bright acidity and nice tannins alongside green avocado, Meyer lemon, sweet farmers cheese, lemony tart key lime pie, and toasted pastry flour (as in a waffle-shaped sugar cookie). Finish is very long. This is fantastic wine. Impressive. (457 views)
Tasted by wineretriever on 2/9/2015 & rated 92 points: Outstandingly complex nose of yellow peach, overripe pear, popcorn, spice, and fragrant white flowers. Fruit and savory notes, including mushroom, carry through on the palate. Super fun to drink. (916 views)
Tasted by ucbeau on 8/11/2013: Delightfully textural, but a bit oxidized too. Still, this was a lot of fun to taste and observe over the course of several hours. The roussanne comes through first, but the marsanne feels like it makes up the bulk of the structure by lending good weight and body. (1269 views)
Tasted by SonomaWilliam on 2/7/2013: shared by a friend (might not be released yet.) Roussanne & Marsanne 50/50 and some portion is skin fermented, but don't have specifics.

Color is a cloudy, pineapple yellow.
Nose is expressive; lemon peel, orange, peach skin.
In the mouth is quite bright, tart - meyer lemon, baked pineapple, apple. Long finish. (1498 views)

White Rhone Blend

A white wine containing two or more Rhône varieties, including: Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
