Tasted by ragtop on 3/30/2024 & rated 95 points: This was a beautiful wine for me. The color was dark very little brown around the edge fantastic nose. Others have said that this may be getting near its end of life. I’m not sure if it was my particular bottle, but I have stored it in a temperature controlled setting since it was released. I think it has another 5 to 7 years left in it honestly. It was amazing. I gave it 95 points and I don’t think this was an exaggeration for this particular bottle. Hopefully others will find this to be true if bottles have been stored with consistent temperatures and a cork that didn’t fail. (115 views)
Tasted by Krg44 on 3/16/2024: Should have drank it earlier. It was just okay considering I hade this same bottle 10 yrs ago and it was excellent (124 views)
Tasted by thunderfly on 10/22/2023 & rated 90 points: Very good wine. It’s getting to the point where age is catching up with it. Little fruit left, and tannins are light. Still has great nose; definitely know it’s a Napa cab! Earthy and plum on the nose. Tastes of light cherry cola, with a slight bitterness at the end. (528 views)
Tasted by jicreixell on 5/17/2023 & rated 95 points: Deep Red color. Very long legs. Chocolate and leather to the nose. Black berry and currant flavor. Medium balance body with silky texture. Fine Sweet finish. (1025 views)
Tasted by wine4lux on 3/18/2023 & rated 89 points: Fruit has largely faded, touch of bitterness during the finish, minor residual tannins. I have not had a Napa 2011 from any maker, that I would prefer over any other vintage from that vineyard in the 2007 to 2914 period. (1225 views)
Tasted by CandaceCrumrine on 1/11/2023 & rated 100 points: Love it! (1319 views)

Tasted by JKnJK on 10/22/2022 & rated 87 points: Very smooth and soft on the pallet. Tasting fruit on the tongue and throat. Zero tannins and just a delicious bottle. (1231 views)
Tasted by sonodoc on 9/15/2022 & rated 91 points: Pleasant, with a little more fruit left than what I was expecting based on my last note. Tannins are almost imperceptible. Drinking well now, but probably won’t get any better. (1341 views)
Tasted by KTelaak_Buffalo on 11/7/2021 & rated 90 points: I tried this wine 19 months ago and loved it. Tonight I feel it has lost a step. Not the same energy, fruit or finish. Actual secondary flavors present. No tannins to speak of. It's a good wine but I'm unsure of its future. (2043 views)
Tasted by Agunner23 on 8/11/2021 & rated 86 points: Nothing spectacular. The wine seems it is a little past its prime. I had another 2011 about a couple of months ago, and it was the same. Overall not bad but could be better. (2370 views)
Tasted by Mortgage92 on 1/10/2021 & rated 90 points: DRINK NOW! (3034 views)
Tasted by Dtsommer on 11/14/2020 & rated 91 points: Delicious. More green pepper flavor, oak, pepper. (3040 views)

Tasted by Hls on 5/3/2020 & rated 92 points: Very good. Much better than our last bottle. (2630 views)
Tasted by Hls on 4/26/2020 & rated 90 points: A little tired. Probably waited too long to drink. Still very good though. (2216 views)
Tasted by KTelaak_Buffalo on 3/13/2020 & rated 94 points: Brilliant young looking deep dark red. No signs of age. Heavier on the fruit but some nice earth showing. Tannins still present. Nice 30+ second finish. A joy to drink. PLENTY of life left to cellar. (1896 views)
Tasted by dresden on 10/20/2019 & rated 91 points: typical Napa cab. Good to go now, but has plenty of life left. (2319 views)
Tasted by dac2849 on 9/14/2019 & rated 87 points: Slight oxidation flaw (2365 views)
Tasted by sonodoc on 8/4/2019 & rated 90 points: A decent Bordeaux like wine. Not a lot of fruit, but considering 2011 was not a great year for Napa, not too bad. (1979 views)
Tasted by Marc S on 7/14/2019 & rated 95 points: - Brick color with slow forming legs. It's in total harmony and has flavours of strawberry, black currant and raspberry with a medium/full body. Satin-Like texture with a long finish - Absolutely beautiful bottle of wine in perfect harmony. The nose of this wine in incredible. (1933 views)
Tasted by Marc S on 5/24/2019 & rated 93 points: - Garnet color with slow forming legs. It's in total harmony and has flavours of raspberry and strawberry with a medium/full body. Satin-Like texture with a long finish - Rally good bottle of wine. Well balanced and in total harmony. (1804 views)
Tasted by Bacchus Wine Cellar on 5/17/2018: Love it (3578 views)
Tasted by floridawinedrkr on 3/3/2018 & rated 93 points: Wow have these come alive. This is wonderful and Bordeaux like. Balanced and smooth. Not over powering. Very graceful. This is our 4 bottle in 2 nights. I love them. It seems the 2011 vintage is really starting to come around and be drinkable from a lot of vintners. (3389 views)
Tasted by Asmiller on 1/6/2018 & rated 88 points: Opened it Friday. Bottle was okay - probably 89 or 90 at best. Typical 2011. Lots of bell pepper. Came back to it on Saturday and, in my opinion, the wine was breaking down far too quickly. I didn't even drink the rest - elected to open a different bottle instead. I just don't believe the 2011 will get better with more time in the bottle. Drink it now so you can move on to better wine. (3429 views)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.

Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet Sauvignon

Estate

In the United States, "Wines with “estate bottled” designations must: a) also designate an appellation of origin or an AVA, and both the vineyards and the winery must be located there; b) the grapes must come from vineyards owned or controlled by the winery; and c) the wine must have been produced, from crush to bottle, in a continuous process without leaving the winery’s premises."

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
