(2317 views) | | Tasted by wilypod on 7/24/2015 & rated 86 points: Fresh, clean and tangy: It is a blend of these grape varieities. Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc, Ugni blanc, and Vermentino. The Vermentino adds a nice note of grapefruit citrus. Very good value. (2267 views) | | Tasted by jillietee on 5/9/2015 & rated 85 points: decent for cheap table wine (2500 views) | | Tasted by forceberry on 5/4/2015 & rated 69 points: A blend of Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc, Ugni Blanc and Roussanne.
Pale lemon yellow color. Somewhat closed and underwhelming nose with aromas of vague yellow fruits, some nondescript white fruits, a little bit of sweet pear and a bit chemical note of VA. The wine is medium-bodied, round and somewhat lacking form on palate with flavors of mirabelle plums, some slivered almonds, a little bit of exotic fruit candies and a hint of sweet bread dough. The wine is moderately high in acidity, which keeps the wine well in balance yet doesn't really give much freshness. The finish is somewhat thin and chemical with a bit short flavors of stone fruits, some steely character, a little bit of peach marmalade and an industrial hint of solvent-like VA.
Meh. Dull, simple and underwhelming. Not really that pleasant. At 9,98€ this is a pass. (940 views) | | Tasted by Downspout on 4/3/2015: Earthy White (2201 views) | | Tasted by Neras on 3/22/2015 & rated 87 points: Nice and easy drinking. (2017 views) | | Tasted by Mike Kopanski on 10/10/2014 & rated 85 points: Friday Walk Around Tasting at Sam's Fine Wine & Spirits, Lexington, SC 10/10/2014 (Sam's Fine Wines & Spirits, Lexington, SC): A close to perfect wine for the first drink of the day. Not too heavy, not too intense, just a nice mouth full of citrus and orchard fruit with an appropriate amount of acid. The color is darker yellow than most. The nose has peach, citrus, some flower, possibly daisy, and even a hint of banana. There is some underlying earthy structure, but this wine is really designed to drink chilled immediately after purchase for it's soft, approachable, thirst quenching ability. (1429 views) | | Tasted by DanSm on 8/5/2014 & rated 84 points: One of the better box/jug wines from France. (1123 views) | | Tasted by aajder on 7/8/2014 & rated 85 points: Nice color. The nose shows aromas of pear, banana, tropical fruit and a hint of flowers. This is medium bodied on the palate with ok concentration but surprising finesse. The medium length finish has just enough acidity to balance things out. Easy to drink. (944 views) | | Tasted by df1962 on 3/6/2014 & rated 84 points: PnP. Zippy mid-week white. Touch of lanolin and lemon zest on the nose. Melon rind lemon and white grapefruit on the palate. Super clean finish. Like it better at under $10. Needs to be well chilled. (1029 views) |

U.S. Importer (Addt'l Info)La Vieille Ferme (Perrin & Fils) Luberon BlancTHE VINTAGE 2015 was a magnificent year in the south as well, characterized by excellent sanitary conditions thanks to the mild, wet winter, followed by a relatively hot, dry spring. The vines coped well with the extreme heat and lack of rain in the summer thanks to good hydric reserves. Following satisfactory flowering, rapid and regular ripening was assisted by rain that fell in August, producing berries rich in phenolic compounds and anthocyanins. As in the north, harvesting took place under excellent conditions.
› THE VINTAGE The 2011 vintage is a vintage of contrasts. Very hot and dry spring, early rainy July and Indian summer until late October. Sorting was very important, especially after destemming, and allowed the realization of a great vintage, especially for late varieties.
DESCRIPTION If you enjoy quaffable wines, this one is ideal as an aperitif or paired with a simple meal
› SITUATION Mainly within the Parc Regional du Luberon, which is equidistant from Avignon, Aix-en- Provence and Manosque. The average altitude of the vineyards is 300 metres/1000 feet above sea-level, and the grapes are harvested relatively late.
› TERROIR Old alluvial deposits of round and flat stones, calcareous marl and patches of clay created by alluvial alpine flows.
› PROCESS The grapes are lightly crushed, then pressed in a pneumatic press, prior to clarification of the must and cool fermentation. This takes place in vats for 90% of the blend, with 10% fermented in new oak barrels with lees-stirring. The wine remains in stainless steel tanks until the month of January, when the wine is bottled after fining.
› GRAPES Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc, Ugni Blanc, Vermentino
TASTING (2015) Beautifully pale in color, with glimmering highlights. The delicate nose of white flowers, peach and citrus is outstandingly fresh. With a rich, well-balanced attack the palate offers superb tension, elegant floral and citrus aromas, great aromatic persistence and a delicious touch of crispness.
› TASTING (2011) Colour: bright yellow with tints of green. Nose: green fruit, wheat, hazelnuts. Mouth: soft, delicate, aromatic
› SERVICE 8°C with a starter or a cold buffetWhite Rhone BlendA white wine containing two or more Rhône varieties, including: Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc.
