Tasted by Jzizzle on 3/24/2019: Similar to previous bottle, has nice elements, but not hitting the spot for me on particular flavour profile... (414 views)
Tasted by Jzizzle on 11/11/2018 & rated 89 points: Lucious red and dark fruit; black berry; quite tart. The fruit profile is not hitting a sweet spot for me, but the intensity is noteworthy. I think the best days of this wine may still be ahead. (426 views)
Tasted by Double-A on 9/6/2016 & rated 90 points: Focused currant, smoky herb and bitter chocolate nose. Great replays. Flavourful and well-balanced.
4/5 (1069 views)
Tasted by Vintage49 on 1/25/2016 & rated 88 points: Young, clean & bright wine with average lees. A light purple with red and black berries nose. Fruits on tasting more red berries.

Easy drinking balanced wine. (1041 views)
Tasted by Vintage49 on 1/13/2016 & rated 90 points: The wine looks violet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.
It smells like toast and coffee. It tastes like forest floor and toast. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.
A pleasant drinking wine made for now with characters expected in a cabernet merlot (1031 views)

Red Bordeaux Blend

Red Bordeaux is generally made from a blend of grapes. Permitted grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and rarely Carménère.Today Carménère is rarely used, with Château Clerc Milon, a fifth growth Bordeaux, being one of the few to still retain Carménère vines. As of July 2019, Bordeaux wineries authorized the use of four new red grapes to combat temperature increases in Bordeaux. These newly approved grapes are Marselan, Touriga Nacional, Castets, and Arinarnoa.

Wineries all over the world aspire to making wines in a Bordeaux style. In 1988, a group of American vintners formed The Meritage Association to identify wines made in this way. Although most Meritage wines come from California, there are members of the Meritage Association in 18 states and five other countries, including Argentina, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Mexico.
