Tasted by rnellans on 4/29/2024 & rated 97 points: Cru Crew Wine dinner hosted by Brad England (Mara restaurant at the Four Seasons hotel in Minneapolis, MN.): Served alongside the '14, '15 and '16. Excellent flight of wines. Complex nose with spice, mineral, mint and citrus notes. Very fresh. Great mouthfeel and very well balanced. Long sweet finish. Love the wine! (257 views)
Tasted by BradE on 4/26/2024: Ramonet Montrachet: This was stunningly good and extremely open. The 2013 outperformed high expectations. (184 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 3/11/2022 & rated 96 points: Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/10/2022-3/11/2022 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. So similar to last night's magnum, possibly just slightly less unctuous. A baby. (2290 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 3/10/2022 & rated 97 points: Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/10/2022-3/11/2022 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): From magnum. Brilliant combination of sweet and tart fruit, sweet and savory spice with unctuous textures and a long, zen finish. A powerhouse in its early stages of beauty. (1967 views)
Tasted by Nanda on 3/10/2022 & rated 98 points: From magnum -- perfect in just about every way. Astonishingly intense and layered aromas. Decadent yet refined, chiseled palate. Wow. (1387 views)

What is not to like about this wine, incredible (1262 views)
Tasted by Alex G. on 7/30/2021: Ramonet Montrachet Lunch (Phoenix, AZ USA): Crisp mouthfeel, some tropical fruit. There's more oak here than I'd prefer; it's not overwhelming, but this will be better with some more time to integrate it. (1850 views)
Tasted by bill00 on 5/29/2021 & rated 96 points: Outstanding. Montrachet class and power without any heaviness or over ripeness. Serious and complex. Plenty of acidity keeps this fresh and precise. Drinking really well right now. (906 views)
Tasted by Jeremy Holmes on 5/4/2021: From Magnum this was so good. Aromas of intense white peach, spearmint cream, vanilla pod and flint. It is rich and layered, incredibly powerful and rich but not heavy in the slightest. The finish drives on and on and oozes minerality. (965 views)
Tasted by BradE on 7/30/2019: A classy wine. This bottle seemed a touch more reticent than one had earlier this year, but still a great drink. Lovely floral and citrus. (2248 views)
Tasted by CamWheeler on 6/23/2019 & rated 97 points: SLDS at Quay: Chalk, vanilla, ozone, sea spray and orange on the nose. Electric palate, bursting with vibrant energy, Fruit power keeps up with the soaring acidity. Mind blowing depth of fruit. Continues to grow and grow in the glass. Ridiculous good. (1661 views)
Tasted by Topper on 3/21/2019 & rated 94 points: Very pretty wine. Round flavors in the mouth while retaining grace and freshness. Lots of peach, pear and a hint of butter. Less rich, if perhaps more fresh, than the 2010 served alongside it. Very ready for current drinking yet should go 5-10 more years. (1461 views)
Tasted by BradE on 3/9/2019: A lovely wine, that shows the 2013 vintage very well. Held it's own against an otherworldly 2010. (1317 views)
Tasted by Jeremy Holmes on 2/11/2019: Has a gorgeous, sweet peach heart. There’s some mango and rockmelon too. It is spicy and complex, a powerful wine that also possesses great poise and balance. Tinned peach flavours abound on the finish and there’s the tang of citrus and saline mineral right on the end. (1447 views)
Tasted by CamWheeler on 3/9/2018 & rated 97 points: Montrachet and Musigny: Slate, mint, orange peel, brine and sea spray right after pouring, with air showing more lime, smoky flint and white floral notes - stunning amount of aromatic complexity in this young wine. The balance between intensity and precision on the palate is incredible, with the powerful fruit controlled and focused by stunning acid presence. Next to the 2 other 2013 Montrachet bottles from other producers tonight, this even feels restrained in style, which is unbelievable given its weight and depth. A monumental wine. (2006 views)
Tasted by BradE on 9/10/2017: Favre-a-thon 6.0 Saturday Whites: Served next to the sublime 2010 Lafon Montrachet, this had tough positioning. But it was also stunning, and easily the top 2013 white I've tasted (and I like the 13's a lot). I'm thrilled to own some of this, and would not hesitate to open one young. (2135 views)
Tasted by Jeremy Holmes on 3/13/2017: Very tight, fine and intense. It has the Ramonet spearmint thing going on and very pure, white peach fruit. There's a suggestion of spice and it is fresh with outstanding line. Should be superb in a decade. (1779 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 6/27/2016 & rated 96 points: Wine with a Few Smaller Meals While in Burgundy; 6/21/2016-7/1/2016 (Cote d'Or (Mostly)): Early spring flowers with mint and licorice supporting ripe and forward orchard fruit aromas and flavors. Not a powerhouse, but this is a wine with great length and seemingly perfect balance and persistence. (3381 views)
Tasted by William Kelley on 5/26/2016 & rated 96 points: The 2013 Ramonet Montrachet is a beauty, and across the board I wonder if Ramonet's '13s may surpass their '12s. White flowers, yellow citrus, Anjou pear and noble reduction meld in a complex bouquet, followed by a sappy, pure and simultaneously weightless and dense palate impression. (3488 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
