Tasted by CADomer on 5/17/2020 & rated 88 points: Deep amber color, tart and bright fruit that paired with our pulled pork sandwiches. (1529 views)
Tasted by Saxman1984 on 4/14/2020: Bought this on a whim, as I am a big Burlotto fan. A very enjoyable rose with strawberries on the nose, the strawberries are accompanied with white cherries on the palate, the acidity is in the mid range, and a subtle minerality on the finish. A great everyday rose (846 views)
Tasted by jkscully on 7/15/2019: Interestingly, for a Rose wine, better on day 2 with some air and closer to room temperature. Strawberries, tart cherries, with some grapefruit poking through at the end. I would have guessed that this was a Rose made from Pinot Noir. I thought it drank more like a Rose on the Red end of the spectrum, but Ellen thought it was more on the white end of the spectrum. This really popped with sour cherry focaccia, but just ok with salmon. Very good. (1066 views)
Tasted by Cote d'Or on 8/11/2018: Tasted over 2 hrs
-translucent bright dark pink
-sweet raspberry rhubarb
-med acidity, med weight hefty for a rosé rather packed mid-palate with rocky soil saline berry bitter with a moderately long finish that appears to have a bit of tannic structure
-unique big (but not flabby) structured rocky rosé (1730 views)
Tasted by bradfriedlander on 6/15/2018 & rated 89 points: Great food wine. Bone dry with great fruit extraction. The varietal works well as a rose. (1757 views)
Tasted by bags on 6/4/2018: lovely, and will drink well for a couple more years. (1657 views)
Tasted by Markus IWC on 3/30/2018 & rated 87 points: Rare rose from Verduno, the northern most commune in Barolo region. Round and soft, summery nose with wild strawberries, melons and a touch of citrus. Fresh acidity but without the bitter and sour notes often found in rose wines. (1022 views)
Tasted by bradfriedlander on 3/22/2018 & rated 85 points: Decent food wine. We paired this with a spicy chicken soup. Definite raspberry notes. Simple and very dry. (1295 views)
Tasted by chablis28 on 12/23/2017 & rated 91 points: Shows more depth than many rose' at $15. Love the intensity and red fruit infused minerality. Weightless and ethereal. (1281 views)
Tasted by chablis28 on 9/8/2017 & rated 92 points: A blend of mostly Nebbiolo (60%), Plaverga (30%), and Barbera (10%). Much, much better than the first from mid June! A complex range of semi juicy mix of cherry, pomegranate, minerally earth and spice on a vibrant energetic frame. This btl was weightless and so drinkable! Excellent tonight! 14% alc went completely unnoticed tonight. A 360 degree better btl than the first. Might grab some more if still around. (1243 views)
Tasted by JOHN_ on 9/5/2017 & rated 93 points: I don't drink rosé often, but this was exceptionally good. If you're an Italian/Nebbiolo wine fan and want to drink a rosé that keeps up with your other Italian wines, look no further.

Lively, fresh, and floral. Highly recommended.

The Verdict: 🍷,🍷,🍷,🍷 (4/5 | 93 pts) (1818 views)
Tasted by cct on 7/19/2017: A bright and beautifully fresh nose. Crunchy fruit, subtle florals, cooler herbs, peppercorn, and grapefruit pith on the nose. This is fresh and clean, with great cut and precision. There is almost a sense of drinking water, it is so easy to drink. On the palate, fresh fruits, strawberry and red currants, with terrific acidic cut, that is for me in perfect balance, all with a herbal lift and a savory slant. The Pelaverga really adds to this with some peppercorn notes that add quirky complexity. This would be amazing with some spicy charcuterie. This is a great vintage for Elatis. Fresh, complicated, yet light on its feet and incredibly refreshing. Wonderful rose, and as wonderful as the '13 was, I think this may have the upper hand. This is a wine where numbers fail. True, it is not a grand vin, but I can tell you on a hot Arizona day this is a situational 98 point wine, more if I had some charcuterie. One of my favorite two rose's of Summer 2017. Bravo Fabio!  Tasted by chablis28 on 6/13/2017 & rated 89 points: A blend of mostly Nebbiolo (60%), Plaverga (30%), and Barbera (10%). Oddly, even well chilled, this showed some heat out of the gate from the 14% Alc but dissipated and integrated as it warmed up. The wine evolved as it warmed from a shrill 86pt wine to a solid 89pt rose for me. Tart cherry, earth, spice, mineral, pepper and somewhat brambly acidity on a medium weight frame. This is a little more challenging than our house favorite, Il Poggione rosato but, still fun and great match with food. The Il Poggione is great both as aperitif and with food. Fun to A-B both wines side by side. (1389 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 6/2/2017: {winery} Beautiful. Today this is a bit edgy, as it was only recently bottled. That said, the underlying fruit and perfumes are clearly from superior quality fruit. A blend of Nebbiolo, Pelaverga and Barbera, the grapes are allowed on skin contact for <2 days; after at least 6 months in stainless steel, the wines are bottled and allowed to rest for a few months. The color, as in years past, is striking, a pale salmon with a magical hue of garnet running through it. The nose in this vintage, not unlike the 2013 Barolo wines, will need some more time before it's wide open - in the instant case, say 4-6 more months. The wine has the structure to cellar for at least the next 5 years, though I will be drinking most of mine next summer, when I believe this will have become more complete, and even more beautiful. 14,0% abv., recommended+
