Tasted by TallMikeWine on 5/29/2018 & rated 94 points: All the berries in the bowl! Red, blue, black, and on and on. Thick and chewy this one. Spice and mineral are there, too. Tannins are all smoothed out and give it a finish for days and days. (2571 views)
| Tasted by Blake Brown on 1/12/2017 & rated 93 points: 2003 BRANCAIA IL BLU TOSCANA- 50% Sangiovese, 45% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon; fabulous enticement comes from the aromas which include spicy, cedar inundated dark fruit followed by a taste profile of generous portions of cranberry, cherry, berry expressed in a full body and over a long finish; it is big, bold and powerful with enough finesse to soften the thrust; there`s some obvious firm tannins that are nearing integration; this has serious complexity and concentration. | Tasted by Jonne on 8/25/2015 & rated 89 points: Frukt och fräschör kvar efter tio år. Rätt strama tanniner och en stjälkig beska gör att man vill ha rött kött och gräddig gratäng till detta. FÄRG Klar? Nej, mycket slammigt. Färg: Mycket mörk rubin. Kant: 5 mm mot vattenklar. Intensitet: Mycket hög. Färgar glaset? En smula. Gardiner: Medel +.
DOFT Korrekt? Ja. Doftintensitet: Medel +. Doft: Frukt - röda bär - hallon, körsbär. Blåa bär - björnbär. Fat - choklad, te. Mineral - stenkross. Lite Karlssons klister. Utveckling: Moget.
SMAK Torrt/sött: Torrt. Syra: Medel +. Tanniner: Fina men något stjälkiga. Alkohol: Integrerad (14,5 %) Fyllighet: Medel. Smakstyrka: Medel. Smak: Frukt - röda bär - hallon, körsbär. Torkad frukt - russin. Fat - läder, sågat trä. Textur/balans/bubblighet: Nä. Eftersmak: Medel + med en hel del stjälkbeska.
SLUTSATSER Kvalitet: Mycket bra. Drickabilitet: Moget nu, håller säkert några år till.. Geografi: Toscana. Pris: 250 kr? (3196 views) |

Tasted by OliverC on 2/17/2015 & rated 92 points: Tasting one hour after decanting. A very good wine still there but unlikely to improve. Good spicy nose, lots of dark fruit. Spicy finish with good tannins. Perhaps a little imbalanced after a few hours but still very nice. (2056 views)

Tasted by King JR on 7/11/2013 & rated 95 points: This bottle was amazing. Incredibly smooth, gorgeous nose, lots of punch and a very long finish. The score may seem high, but this bottle was great, and somewhat surprising. I would drink these up within the next couple of years. (2400 views)
(2567 views)
Tasted by RedorDead on 12/4/2012 & rated 88 points: The wine looks Brick colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Black currant (cassis), Raisin, Plum, and Dust. The body is Medium. The wine has Leathery texture. The wine finishes Medium. (2823 views)
Tasted by ejca on 11/11/2012: Very good with balance and complexity, maybe not worth the wait, was much better when we had it in Italy 5 years ago with decanting. I think we missed the window. (2202 views)
Tasted by David J Cooper on 2/18/2012 & rated 88 points: Darkest wine in the tasting. Very dark fruit nose, a bit simple, not earthy at all just some dark slightly roasted fruit. High alc. as well. A mid weight finish. (2790 views)
Tasted by danielbleier on 9/2/2011 & rated 92 points: cnsistent with prior notes (3010 views)
Tasted by leonardo_de_araujo on 8/27/2011 & rated 91 points: Very dark. Some caramel hues. Nose has dark cherries and tobacco. Some graphite too. Vivid acidity and very tight tannins. This way I believe I should have let it breathe for 3-4 hours. Not super complex . Agree that it is disappointing at this price range and after years of wait. (2606 views)
(2690 views)
Tasted by danielbleier on 5/25/2011 & rated 92 points: Tar and black olive nose, dark cherry and olive with fine tannins flavors after a 2 hour decant. Rich mouthfeel. Powerful but balanced. A good mix of old world and new world styles (2856 views)
Tasted by buckeye76 on 4/29/2011 & rated 92 points: DEEP BERRY FRUIT IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR WITH HINTS OF LICORICE. MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH. (698 views)
Tasted by Eugene on 6/20/2010 & rated 90 points: Very tightly wound and young, this complex wine had it all-balance, great fruit, minerality and mouth feel. (3177 views)
Tasted by MWes on 3/28/2010 & rated 89 points: Not quite outstanding. This bottle needs at least another few years. Several hours after opening, it was still tight. I have very little experience with Italian wine, but to me this needs more time. (3285 views)
Tasted by mik3p0p3 on 10/4/2009 & rated 93 points: Drank over the course of 2 days (via the generousity of a friend). Purple and inky in the glass. Blueberry, dark cherry, black currant, mint, and briney capers in the glass. A real melange of the it's varietals; qiuite expressive. Blueberry and dark fruit coat the palate. The muscular body plays well with tartaric acidity, creating a nice balance. This wine has robust body and a long, long finish. Wow this is a big wine: big on the nose, big on the palate and a big finish to match! (3769 views)
Tasted by wineotim on 5/18/2009 & rated 92 points: Telltale Sangiovese nose, nice deep ruby color, smooth texture. At first a bit too acidic, with some air time, this wine really came together harmoniously with lengthy dark fruit flavors and a surprising freshness. Easily the best Super Tuscan I have tasted in its price range. (4216 views)
