Big fruit. BBQ ribs wine. (319 views) | | Tasted by Bluecollar on 11/9/2023 & rated 90 points: Lots of red fruit and raspberries throughout that moves from sweet to dry and spicy on the lingering finish. (602 views) | | Tasted by jpkc on 2/1/2023 & rated 89 points: Decanted 2hr, fruit on the decline, drink up 88-89ish (1503 views) | | Tasted by joet626 on 11/19/2022 & rated 91 points: good. Solid Sonoma County Zin (1587 views) | | Tasted by syrahz on 10/3/2022 & rated 91 points: Hard to believe it's 14.8% alcohol. Smooth, zinny, great for sipping or with food. Opened for my wife's 74th. We're up there in age and don't buy much pricey wine any more, so this is a real treat. (1763 views) | | Tasted by Obi-Wan Cannubi on 7/18/2022 & rated 88 points: Mørk rød.
(1739 views) | | Tasted by joet626 on 3/10/2022 & rated 92 points: very good. Typical zin taste. Smooth (2308 views) | | Tasted by Laz4wine on 3/5/2022 & rated 91 points: Excellent again, even softer and silkier, WS93 review pretty much on point. (1783 views) | | Tasted by r4Cali on 2/5/2022 & rated 90 points: Served to guests at large dinner party (1718 views) | | Tasted by Jzizzle on 1/26/2022 & rated 90 points: Enjoyable; compared to other vintages, this strikes me as a bit deeper, richer, and with more sweet oak liqour. Still more elegant than most, but a softness that could be due to vintage or time in bottle. (1673 views) | | Tasted by DB Lawton on 12/18/2021 & rated 89 points: Consistent performer but overshadowed last night among wines with a bit more pedigree (1718 views) | | Tasted by tannictongue on 11/20/2021: Nice pepper Zin. Good blue fruit. Full bodied. Nice finish. (1642 views) | | Tasted by joet626 on 10/29/2021 & rated 91 points: very good. Nice berries. (1725 views) | | Tasted by JGA10902 on 10/9/2021 & rated 92 points: Just an extremely well made Zin at its’ peak. Very well balanced, good fruit and full bodied. Would drink this all the time. Good balance with lingering finish. (1697 views) | | Tasted by redz on 6/30/2021 & rated 90 points: Always dependable. Still a little hot, should improve with time. (2210 views) | | Tasted by Duce on 6/23/2021 & rated 92 points: Still drinking very well, dark berry fruit, white pepper (1895 views) | | Tasted by sprap1951 on 5/29/2021 & rated 91 points: Drinking really well. Good fruit and incredibly smooth. Had with BBQ ribs and it was outstanding. Two more bottles left, but doubt I can wait 10 years to drink. (1902 views) | | Tasted by aveeck on 5/24/2021 & rated 92 points: SO fruit forward with some complexity underne. Can't wait to see what this is like in 10 more years... (1969 views) | | Tasted by merlot78 on 5/23/2021 & rated 75 points: I enjoyed my previous bottles in 2020, but this bottle was different. It did not taste like zinfandel. Mostly tasteless with a lack of fruit and an awful after taste. (1846 views) | | Tasted by Laz4wine on 5/20/2021 & rated 90 points: Nice bramble-berry jam, spices, and licorice hit, smooth soft and easy finish, then suddenly the bottle was gone gone gone.... (1542 views) | | Tasted by Rudolph Schmidt on 5/3/2021: Decanted for 30m.
Rich, ripe dark fruits have been ever so slightly mellowed with age. Black pepper, cinnamon & star anise are backed by tannins & acid. (1634 views) | | Tasted by LenaLasse on 3/27/2021 & rated 90 points: Mycket god den 27 mars 2021. Dracks till grillad entrecote. (1768 views) | | Tasted by KaupCava on 3/22/2021 & rated 92 points: Juicy juice Lots of spicey berries along with soft vanilla (1718 views) | | Tasted by Callybrian on 2/21/2021 & rated 90 points: Ash and smoke are prevalent throughout the nose and palate. This would go great with a good BBQ. (2046 views) | | Tasted by joet626 on 1/1/2021 & rated 92 points: Very good. Nice body, good fruit. Good mouthfeel and finish (2190 views) | | Only displaying the 25 most recent notes - click to see all notes for this wine... |

Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson Sonoma CountyMendocino CountySonoma CountySonoma Coast |
