Tasted by crumblemore on 10/4/2023 & rated 85 points: The 8th wine from the “Discover the uniqueness of Asian wines” tasting hosted by MWM. Golden hue, aroma of gas, stone fruit, explosive fruit, white fruits, and lychee. Palate sour, musky, peppery, white fruit, nectarine, and aromatic. Has a full mouthfeel but overall feels unbalanced.  Tasted by Paul S on 6/7/2022 & rated 85 points: Simple, nondescript, but far from undrinkable. This was balanced and fairly quaffable, with aromatic notes tropical fruit and white flowers. The palate was a simple and unidimensional, but decent enough - almost like a tropical fruit punch drink, with notes of lychees and guava, all balanced enough to quaff. Quite a surprise from Bali - this drank as well as any decent clean skin from Australia or New Zealand. (679 views)
Tasted by MWiking on 1/3/2018 & rated 77 points: inte helt kass alls men det passar nog bäst att ha i risotto då vinet har en fin syra och en smak av vin. går att dricka i brist på annat. (2228 views)
Tasted by evanqian on 8/7/2017 & rated 86 points: fresh fruity notes, crispy acidity, some citrus and tropical hints. light bodied, a little sweet, fresh and dry finish. tastes like albarino somehow, but more mango, pineapples, rather than ginger. CSWA Silver.

Tasted by Nik Lasse Seimsson on 3/6/2014 & rated 85 points: I agree with PSPATRICK, nothing really new to add here, except that I found out that the Belgia grape is a member of the Muscat family. I was surprised to find original Balinesian wines, too. At the beginning I was really sceptical but I gave it a try - and was not disappointed.
The bottle costs about 150.000 RPA which equals app. 10€/13USD. I have not found anything cheaper here.

11% alc., pineapple yellow colour.
Citrus-tropical driven, fresh white with medium body, acidity and finish. Perfect summer vacation wine and a very good option to imported wines which cost a fortune here on Bali (even low price brands like Gallo, Yellow Tail, etc.).
Overall, good nose, good palate, good body/balance and finish, very enjoyable. My girl, who is more into whites, really likes it.
Nose 11/15, palate 11/15, body/balance 7/10, finish 6/10, equals 35 (+50) = 85/100. Good stuff!
Images of the nicely designed bottle will follow. (5320 views)

Medium bodied with pretty good acidity and some bitterness. Hollow mid-palate and little week ending.
Short to medium length

From a Local grape called Belgia, which is new to me. I would guess Sauvignon Blanc clone. (5155 views)
Tasted by PSPatrick on 4/22/2010 & rated 86 points: I admit that I did not know that grapes are grown and wine is produced in Bali before we went there on holiday. We learned that a few wineries in Bali are producing wines from grapes imported from Australia. But we also discovered that one winery, Hatten Wines, produces white, red and rosé wines from grapes grown in the north east of Bali (all non-vintage bottlings). Due to the tropical climate, the vineyard sources multiple harvests in each year.

As imported international wines turned out to be ridiculously expensive in Bali, we were more than happy to try the local wine, which was available in almost any restaurant we have been to in Bali. The wine was very aromatic, with banana, honey, lemon, pineapple, and hints of peach and grass on the nose. On the palate, the wine showed banana, honey, lemon, kiwi and citrus. It was slightly off-dry, with medium-level acidity. The wine was much better than we expected. It lacked the structure to earn high-end scores, but it was extremely delicious and drank very well in the tropical climate. In addition, it paired extremely well with Indonesian cuisine.

A little fun fact: we had multiple bottles of this wine in different restaurants and the bottles showed some variation. Two bottles in two different restaurants were identical, having the most accented banana flavours and earning the highest scores (87). In another restaurant, we had two bottles on two different days – these bottles were identical, but different from the two bottles we had in other restaurants (less banana-driven, with more pronounced citrus flavours, higher acidity an some heat on the back-end (earning the lowest scores – 85)). The other bottles we had in different restaurants kind of fell between those four bottles (86). The bottom line is that all bottles showed basically the same profile, but with subtle difference. I guess that is the fun part of having multiple harvests each year.

Having paid five to ten times the retail price for entry-level Chilean and Argentinean wines the first two days, we were glad that we discovered this local wine. We had it with different meals, it never got boring, was very delicious and paired very well with local cuisine. As opposed to the red version of this wine, I can highly recommend trying this white wine on holidays in Bali. (7158 views)
