Tasted by NoWineWiz on 4/16/2022 & rated 90 points: Nearly 10 years since my last bottle and still enjoyable, with similar tasting notes. (909 views)
Tasted by Bluecollar on 10/30/2020 & rated 91 points: drinking well, somewhat on the drier side, but a great mouthfeel. could go a few more years if needed. (1549 views)
Tasted by maxima on 5/12/2019 & rated 89 points: Beau vin encore sur le fruit avec
de beaux tanins ronds et une belle
acidité. Pas le plus long mais rudement bon. (2693 views)
Tasted by gcarl on 3/23/2019 & rated 92 points: My last bottle, which has held up in the cellar for nearly 8 years. Great at P&P, 30-60 minutes later it was terrific! Same impression as on 4/19/17. (2106 views)
Tasted by corkscrews on 2/17/2019 & rated 90 points: A grapey nose of blueberry and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Super Tuscan blend, with black cherry, blackberry pie, some tobacco and sweet spices, a good food wine, drink now. www.winelx.com (2106 views)
Tasted by hesnctrl on 11/19/2017 & rated 90 points: PnV. Medium crimson in color. Rich nose of earth and cherries, went a hint of bell pepper from the Cab. Medium in body with a healthy amount of acidity to keep things clean. Tart cherry flavor with drying tannins.

Enjoyed in a Riedel Vinum Burgundy glass at 62°F. (3047 views)
Tasted by ecola on 8/7/2017 & rated 91 points: Still drinking very well. Rich and earthy flavors lead the way with a bit of red cherry coming in for balance. Tannic and dry, needs food. Great match with homemade lasagna. (3048 views)
Tasted by BGK810 on 7/6/2017 & rated 91 points: Drinking very nicely right now. Cherry, earth, great acidity. Very tasty - had with turkey bolognese. (2842 views)
Tasted by gcarl on 6/5/2017 & rated 92 points: Decanted thru Vinturi and returned to bottle 1 hr before tasting event. Same impreesion as 4/09/17 notes. (2893 views)
Tasted by gcarl on 4/9/2017 & rated 92 points: This was the WOTN for the 5 of us drinking reds. Beautiful nose of dark fruit (blackberries), leather, touch of cigar box, very soft on the palate, medium to long finish. would love to find more. (2989 views)
Tasted by Bluecollar on 11/4/2016 & rated 91 points: Drink or hold
Dark in color with black fruit on the nose. good balance of black fruit with a little leather and cedar. Open, full bodied wine with a sturdy backbone that should hold up for many more years. Finish was medium in length. (2540 views)
Tasted by studleytrey on 9/16/2016 & rated 90 points: This wine has been good across several vintages, and it's a great movie night sipper. Two years since the last one of this vintage, and I'd say drink 'em if you got 'em at this point. Dense coloring with what appears to be crimson in this light at the edges. Aromas of dark and dark red fruits, violets, earth, fresh herbs, cinnamon, and tar. Medium body, medium(+) acid and finish, and flavors of tart darker fruits (cassis, black raspberry), cinnamon, mineral, and spice. Still quite enjoyable, but on the downslope from others I've had. 90+ (2638 views)
Tasted by gcarl on 1/24/2016 & rated 91 points: Very nice from P&P and just as good after a day under Argon gas. 3+ years since opening my last one has definitely softened this wine's palate impression IMHO. (3706 views)
Tasted by TCP on 1/17/2016: good (3626 views)
Tasted by MCrawford on 4/14/2015 & rated 90 points: This was a killer on day one! Black fruit, hints of leather in the nose and palate, dark imposing color. Less of an "old world" earthiness this time. Solid structure and firm tannins. Medium to full body; long, lingering finish.

I won't diminish the 90 rating from day one, but will say I left a glass full in the bottle and came back to it on day three. The luster was gone. Not undrinkable, but certainly lacking that day one zing.

Still, this is a well made wine and should hold up nicely in the cellar for another 3-5 years easy. (4980 views)
Tasted by KenPlace on 3/15/2015 & rated 90 points: Slightly better than first bottle. Clearly a blend, clearly Italian. Developing nicely. (4499 views)
Tasted by djlevin on 12/26/2014 & rated 89 points: Cabernet Blend Comparison (My Home): After 60 min. decant. Improved with more time in the glass. Fruit on the nose was of cherry and plum with vanilla and herbal mint. The nose was too hot to really enjoy. The palate followed the nose. Medium-high tannins and high acidity for good structure, but not well balanced. The alcohol was very noticeable. The other characteristics were a little out of kilter. I will save the next bottle for a couple of years, hoping it will come together. (5546 views)
Tasted by studleytrey on 10/27/2014 & rated 90 points: Dense crimson coloring. Aromas of black and dark red fruits, earth, cinnamon, herbs, licorice, smoke, and toasty oak. Not quite as complex on the palate, but enjoyable nonetheless with medium body, acid, and finish, and flavors of dark red fruits and some light herbs and minerals. Tannins are pretty fine-grained and this is pretty ready to go. I'd drink over the next over the next few years. (4076 views)
Tasted by Thad on 9/24/2014: open 1 hour, nose is the best part, big cherry, leather and some hint of cinnamon, mouth starts on the lean side and fills up but the acid keeps it pretty tart. 55% petite verdot and that explains the nose, some tannins but it is a ripe year and this does not drink ripe. I have half a bottle for tomorrow to see what it does. From the nose, I would buy a case, from the mouth, I am going to pass. (4170 views)
Tasted by jawegs on 5/5/2014 & rated 80 points: Not so good (3963 views)
Tasted by RDHudak on 4/27/2014 & rated 92 points: Best bottle yet. Sadly, it was my last. (3701 views)
Tasted by njgolfer on 3/31/2014 & rated 90 points: Great QPR. Black fruits, earthy cherry notes, hints of tobacco, sour cherry on the finish. Fine grained but medium drying tannins.

Tasted over 4 days after being vacuum sealed and refrigerated. Still nice earthy tart cherry with bramble, barnyard notes.

I have a flight of this wine from 2006 - 2009 which will be fun to see how they compare and evolve. (3223 views)
Tasted by Swekman on 3/28/2014 & rated 90 points: This wine has a bold red color and a nose of oak, white pepper, tobacco, and leather. The tannins in this dry red are very pronounced and the finish is long and smooth. It is very good; especially at this $17 prive point. (2762 views)
Tasted by pulitzerfan on 3/20/2014 & rated 92 points: Delicious! Smooth and fruit forward. Great wine value (2841 views)
Tasted by Lemmy-W on 2/15/2014 & rated 92 points: a beautiful and smooth wine, but needs at least 2 hours of air to blossom. (2123 views)
