100% James Berry Vineyard:
52% Syrah/ 48% Grenache
The Grenache comes from a 1/2 acre block below the bone rock terraces. The Syrah comes from an eastern slope that was grafted to Roussanne. A few Rousanne vines managed to survive and were harvested with the Syrah.
After a slow 5 week fermentation the wines were pressed, blended and aged as a blend for 18 months on their lees in a mix of 500L puncheons and 228L barrels.
87 cases produced.
