Tasted by Keefer00017 on 4/12/2024 & rated 95 points: It’s just really good and smooth. Not the most complex but so enjoyable to drink. I’ve had 2 now and both great. Maybe 30-60 minute decant only. (167 views)
Tasted by BrandonCorrine Christian on 9/4/2023 & rated 92 points: Enjoyable and smooth. Sweet with a dark red cherry finish. Would definitely have again.... (1196 views)
Tasted by oakfig on 7/7/2023 & rated 94 points: This was excellent. Dark cherries on the nose and taste. Smokey long finish. Perfect with steak
- fabulous. (1350 views)
Tasted by Reelgolfer4951 on 11/18/2022 & rated 94 points: Delicious Cab. No heavy tannins. I wish we had more! (2390 views)
Tasted by spinnin_and_sippin on 10/30/2022 & rated 91 points: Very nice, typical Napa cab. Milk chocolate, cassis. Oak is present, and it’s got a mildly high alcoholic burn but not too bad at all. (2335 views)
Tasted by clubs on 7/10/2022: Note meant for Sleeper but not reserve. (2733 views)
Tasted by Cheech1a on 4/24/2022 & rated 93 points: 2 hour decant. Nose took time to develop, but had a very good balance of fruit and baking spices. Tannins and Oak pleasant, to the medium finish. (2864 views)
Tasted by ChopperWine on 4/3/2022 & rated 93 points: A tasty big Napa cab. All of what you expect from a good, reserve offering. (2607 views)
Tasted by clubs on 3/29/2022: Note meant for Sleeper but not reserve. (1146 views)
Tasted by winecadence on 1/24/2022 & rated 91 points: This opened up nicely over the course of a couple hours. Big Napa Cab. Somewhat grippy tannins. Well balanced. Clearly well made wine. Good QPR. (2301 views)
Tasted by Ticker tape guy on 1/2/2022 & rated 89 points: nice elegant cab..alchol strong at first but dissipated with time nice muted dark cherry fruit a hint of chocolate..finished very smooth (1891 views)
Tasted by kvswine on 12/29/2021 & rated 91 points: Excellent effort by Last Bottle. Obviously made of quality fruit, and a construction that is bold and complex, but not heavy and brooding. It is drinking well now, but will definitely improve with more time in the bottle. (2295 views)
Tasted by jnoonanuva on 10/7/2021: 92. Super smooth after some bottle time (2595 views)
Tasted by jarad88 on 9/8/2021 & rated 94 points: Delicious. Couldn't help myself and opened one of these on the heels of a 2019 Caymus. Really held its own, but will do my best to hold the rest and give it some time to develop further. (2620 views)
Tasted by Tym4wine on 5/29/2021 & rated 92 points: Wonderful aromatics, beautiful floral essence springs from the glass. Deep dark red with flavors of dark fruit, blackberry, and a hint of cola. The tannins are tight in this wine and the acidity provided a lively freshness to the wine. Medium+ finish. Very nice! (3627 views)
Tasted by clubs on 5/27/2021: Note meant for Sleeper but not reserve. (528 views)
Tasted by brouigu1 on 4/4/2021 & rated 93 points: This was a flyer on my part and it was a good one!

Although a tad young this wine is punching way above its weight especially at this price point. Retail around $60 which is not cheap its drinking like a $120+ bottle of Cabernet. Sleeper keeps their vineyards under wraps but it seems to be of high quality.

Opened and decanted for an hour and then enjoyed over several hours. Dark purple with a nose of black fruit, black current and elements of leather and spice, quite intoxicating.

On the palate this guy is lush and packed with black fruits and a decent amount of oak. Well balanced but more than enough acids and tannin to keep this bottle evolving for the next 5 to 8 years. (4518 views)
Tasted by BBinSC on 3/28/2021 & rated 92 points: This bottle was a pleasant surprise. Following the Caymus, this young pup held its own. Blueberry and blackberry with a touch of oak on the nose, the palate is lush and silky, fruit driven with black fruit predominant. Tannins are thick and chewy. Oak is there but well balanced. LB won't reveal the wineries in their Sleeper program, but safe to say side by side with Caymus, it's a valley floor neighbor. $59

Tasted by lundmc on 2/13/2021 & rated 92 points: Bottle from September 15 2023:
Still some flowers and pie crust on the nose- that seems nailed on. Fruit has absolutely emerged, a full cherry assault, red and black, sweet but also a little acid there to give it some pop. Tannins still not fully integrated, give it some air if drinking now. Scored 92 now, should probably go one more year for the next one.

From February 2021:
Drink 2023+. No score given.
Very tight. Gave short decant then back into bottle and Vinaturied. Nose has some flowers but more pie crust. Nice and syrupy out of the bottle. Even this young the fruit is very restrained. Hard to tell if it is going to blossom or not. I like it now but need to give it more time before scoring. (4737 views)
Tasted by Tym4wine on 1/2/2021 & rated 93 points: Very nice floral bouquet of violets. Dark black in glass with translucent edges. Dark fruit flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and a hint of mocha on the finish. Nice tannins with good acidity and structure. The finish is long and memorable. Outstanding wine. (5875 views)
Tasted by 5039000 on 12/25/2020 & rated 93 points: Dark garnet on pour. Decanted 30 minutes before first glass pour/tasting. Dark fruits (plum, blackberry, and blueberry) on the nose. Bold, dry--but well balanced fruit. A little natural spice blended with coffee/nutella, and smooth finish. (4-13-18-8) This was very nice for as young as it is, and I will struggle to keep this in the bottle for another 3-5 years. (3946 views)
Tasted by Sheltonpro17 on 12/24/2020: Had with surf and turf on Christmas Eve. Amazing. (3488 views)
Tasted by Iceman611 on 12/17/2020 & rated 92 points: Very high quality. Both my tasting partner and I enjoyed. Good value. (3851 views)
Tasted by gsomers on 11/15/2020 & rated 95 points: This wine was spectacular. Although a very young cab, the nose was abundantly pleasant. This is a big wine, complex, fruit forward, with flavors that last all the way through the delightful finish. Even after, the flavor notes would last in the mouth. Paired with medium rare strip steaks and roasted cauliflower. I wish I would've bought more than 3 bottles. A truly amazing wine!! Going to wait a year before drinking another. (3362 views)
 Tasted by Jirv3 on 11/13/2020: $175 (2791 views)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.

Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet Sauvignon

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.
