Tasted by bayouwino on 3/4/2018 & rated 91 points: Well balanced Bordeaux blend that paired well with a grilled ribeye. (1055 views)
Tasted by hebill on 12/2/2017 & rated 90 points: While previously overwhelmed by cab sauv, the wine is beginning to soften and show more of the cab franc...bell pepper, pencil shavings and lots of flowery notes on the nose and palate.

Really positively surprised by this wine given some of the recent comments. I would say, if well stored, this is just starting to get into its drinking window and should improve a bit more. Liking this wine a lot right now but has the structure to hold up for another few years. (840 views)
Tasted by Mattvino on 7/21/2017 & rated 87 points: Still has some firm tannins but not a lot of fruit. Drink over 2 hours and didn't evolve any. Had some ripe cherry, leather, chocolate and a bramblness to it. (1072 views)
Tasted by BoulderWine on 1/29/2016 & rated 82 points: Strange aromas and flavors (not corked). Did not like this. (1358 views)
Tasted by Old Gray Hare on 7/5/2015 & rated 90 points: 30 minute decant. Casis on the nose. Smooth flavor of leather, cedar, herb and a hint of oak that persists but does not evolve. Just a bit of roughness on a moderately long finish (1463 views)
Tasted by joet626 on 6/5/2015 & rated 90 points: Very tasty. LOts of fruit; smoothj (916 views)
Tasted by ravbik on 4/28/2015 & rated 92 points: Rich ripe red fruits. Went well with dteak (1056 views)
Tasted by n2wine on 10/9/2013 & rated 88 points: Lots of CA fruit. Strong tannins that need a few more years to soften up. (1443 views)
Tasted by dsabbagh on 2/26/2012: Drank at dinner party. Michael may liked it. (1683 views)
Tasted by Old Gray Hare on 1/27/2012 & rated 89 points: In the Tasting Room, leather and cassis. Nice finish. Tannis a bit rough (776 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
