Cork seemed okay, but just a little less exciting than I thought it would be. Lovely Cabernet blend with soft mouthfeel and still plenty of fruit. Not a lot of acdity and just enough gentle tannin to hold it together. Last of the breed for us, look forward to trying its younge siblings. (3043 views) | | Tasted by nick.whit on 10/19/2015 & rated 91 points: I have had 4 of these over the past 8 months. 1 was past its prime, and the other 3 were delicious, though possibly had reached potential. The good 3 were fruit forward (black fruit) with secondary characteristics on back palate. Leather, oak and plum. Quite complex. Minimal tannin left, medium bodied and length varies though possibly has shortened a little with time. Very nice, though wouldn't leave it any longer. (2589 views) | | Tasted by Pins on 8/13/2015 & rated 94 points: This was a fantastic wine. I thought it may be starting to fade but not the case excellent fruit. I will drink my last few bottles over the next 12 months at special times. (2435 views) | | Tasted by Leto South on 5/30/2015 & rated 90 points: Very heavy sediment, perfect cork. Deep reddish-black colour, light rim. Bq w cedar, smoke, cassis, medicinal herbs, spice. Medium to full body w good acidity, fairly tannic, fruit old (plums?) but still present. Long, slightly alcoholic aftertaste. Still enjoyable, but should be drunk soon. (2067 views) | | Tasted by SadEdjo on 5/9/2015: Night & day difference between the 2 bottles. First was singing. Second was showed obvious oxidation. (1188 views) | | Tasted by SadEdjo on 10/25/2014 & rated 88 points: Ruby red. Youthful sweetness with light claret texture. Ripe red fruit with a hint of cedar but with a disappointingly perfunctory finish. Drink up! (1392 views) | | Tasted by peter.mancell@mfg.com.au on 3/15/2013 & rated 93 points: Lovely Cabernet blend of great character. Spicy with warm fruit and long finish. Very smooth mouth feel with just a hint of tannin remaining. (2224 views) | | Tasted by vespasian on 11/5/2011 & rated 90 points: Very surprised by how restrained and elegant this was - went down very nicely while watching the fireworks. (2562 views) | | Tasted by rooman on 7/13/2010 & rated 87 points: Nothing special. Soft tannins. Medium to full bodied, no particular depth of flavour or interest. (2786 views) | | Tasted by mrboomi on 6/9/2006 & rated 90 points: Leather and tar. Good length and structure. Ready for drinking now. (3448 views) | | Tasted by graemeg on 5/7/2001: NobleRottersSydney - Western Australia (Darling Mills, Glebe): Deep red/purple. Youthful, sweetly fruited wine, with fine balance and surprisingly modest scale. Not complex, drinking well now. (2858 views) |

Producer websiteRed Bordeaux BlendRed Bordeaux is generally made from a blend of grapes. Permitted grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and rarely Carménère.Today Carménère is rarely used, with Château Clerc Milon, a fifth growth Bordeaux, being one of the few to still retain Carménère vines. As of July 2019, Bordeaux wineries authorized the use of four new red grapes to combat temperature increases in Bordeaux. These newly approved grapes are Marselan, Touriga Nacional, Castets, and Arinarnoa.
Wineries all over the world aspire to making wines in a Bordeaux style. In 1988, a group of American vintners formed The Meritage Association to identify wines made in this way. Although most Meritage wines come from California, there are members of the Meritage Association in 18 states and five other countries, including Argentina, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Mexico.Australia Wine Australia (Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation) | Australian Wines (Wikipedia)South Australia South Australian Wine Industry Association | South Australian Wines (Wikipedia)Limestone Coast Limestone CoastCoonawarra Coonawarra |
