Honey and apricot on the nose (muscat?), but very dry on the palate. Very nice length, complexity. Well balanced with medium + acidity (522 views) | | Tasted by mychurch on 2/22/2021 & rated 93 points: A challenging wine. It has put on a lot of weight in the last year and its now a Sauternes colour and texture. Lots of tangerine flavour and plenty of yeatsy tones in the nose. Decant now as it changed over a weekend and after 4 days - it turned into a refined white wine and lost its Orange tones. Great stuff, but not for everyone. (684 views) | | Tasted by BPej on 6/6/2020 & rated 95 points: Yellow apple, ginger marmalade and honey. Really spicy and layered. Power, structure and finesse. Lovely. (782 views) | | Tasted by dnnk88 on 2/11/2020 & rated 90 points: Date night @ Cloudstreet: Orange peels, marmalade, citrus notes. Saline and vibrant. Refreshing on the palate. Still getting used to orange wines but this was enjoyable tonight. (844 views) | | Tasted by BPej on 1/13/2019 & rated 94 points: A blend of Semillon, Muscat and Riesling and spends a few days on skins. On lees for a year and then just juice for a year. Marmalade, ginger, preserved lemon and almond. A saline, dry white sherry like quality. A bit chalky in texture. Great intensity and length. Cracking wine. (901 views) | | Tasted by Laviver on 1/2/2019 & rated 94 points: One of the best wines I've tried recently (and the best orange wines by a mile). Complexity, length and moorish. (590 views) | | Tasted by mphatic on 12/26/2018: Screwcap, 13.2% alc. Semillon, Riesling, Muscat blend. Golden with a reddish hue.
Lots happening on the nose. Marmalade, sea spray, Asturian Sidra, apricot. Could pass for a Spätlese on the nose, except for the quinine aroma.
Dry and medium full on the palate. Cleans with that tonic/cider flavour. Excellent length. Acid and tannin combine to give this tremendous structure and interest for this white grape combination.
Opinion: Very moreish. Builds significant richness with another day open. Excellent VFM wine. Buy again. (258 views) | | Tasted by Matt_D on 11/10/2018 & rated 90 points: Lees, orange peel, ginger nose. Slightly saline, lovely citrus core that flows through the wine keeping it fresh, the rancio note is only a hint and doesn’t overpower as it can in some orange wines. A little stone fruit with some apricot and gently textured tannins. Very nice. (718 views) |
