Restrained dark fruit with tobacco and tar notes. Balanced with flavourful tannins that lingered in the mouth. Enjoyable, classy version of this varietal. Finish was very good at this price point. Overall a very enjoyable wine. Less green ‘bell pepper’ like flavours than I would have expected from a Cabernet franc, which I preferred. Make sure you give the bottle air. Noticeable changes by the second hour for the positive. The sour cherry flavours dissipated and the wine became much more balanced. Very enjoyable (337 views) |
