| Tasted by jjct on 4/1/2020: Very fresh, with bracing acidity. With some air, the magical gringet texture and flavors emerge. This was delicious and did not taste 9 years old at all. (766 views) |
| Tasted by chcook on 5/7/2017: PNP. Cork perfect. Nose is tight. There is a distinct cider note but maybe peach cider? Never had that but just what I would imagine. Swishing shows this same flavor with a chalkiness and acid that keep it light. Sipping shows richness but the acidity keeps it from being overwhelming. This is compelling wine. (1448 views) |

| Tasted by dbkitc on 2/14/2016 & rated 91 points: Light golden color. Pear and white flowers on the nose. Simply delicious - there is extract and depth of flavor but the impression is crisp. Serious wine that feels like a cross of Pinot Gris and muscadet. Different and delicious. (91) (1710 views) |
| Tasted by juffer on 11/4/2015 & rated 92 points: Nose is nutty, with pears and fallen apples (lactic rather than malic acid smells I guess). The nose nutty/pear features had me expecting a heavy dense mid palate, but instead, it was light as a feather, and almost effervescent Finish is light and refreshing. Not much acid in the finish, but doesn't need it with all the iightness. It gives the impression of a very low alcohol wine, and sure enough the bottle says 12%. Going back to the nose, it is like a cross between a white Rhône and a Normandy cider. Might be one of my first experiences with gringet, and certainly enjoyed this.
P.S. Did best with a Riedel Chablis glass. (1870 views) |
| Tasted by jsherdc on 3/27/2015 & rated 89 points: Like a sauvignon blanc without tropical notes. Grapefruit and flowers. (1467 views) |
| Tasted by edgar on 11/3/2014 & rated 88 points: Very nice, honey and floral notes, honey and melon on palate, want to investigate this grape in other contexts. (1317 views) |
| Tasted by LFCHALA on 10/24/2014 & rated 92 points: Elegant. Pure. Low acidity. Very Good (1115 views) |
| Tasted by dbkitc on 9/22/2014 & rated 88 points: This wine has come a long way in the past year. Now integrated and no longer sharp, a lovely white flower and pear profile has emerged. Still crisp and refreshing - a delightful drink. (88) (1070 views) |
| Tasted by David_T on 9/16/2014 & rated 88 points: Very pure with floral, papaya and yellow apple notes. Light acidity and minerality. (928 views) |
| Tasted by Xavier Auerbach on 3/22/2014 & rated 90 points: A private lunch (Restaurant De Librije ***, Zwolle, Netherlands): No sulphur or very low sulphur. Like mountain water steeped in flowers and a hint of nuts; sea breeze, airy and elegant, very individual flavour profile, nice hint of yellow apple, nice intensity; good length. (1527 views) |
| Tasted by danibus on 3/10/2014 & rated 91 points: Excellent as usual. So crystalline, transparent, pure, and clean, though lacking the extra mineral complexity of some prior vintages. (905 views) |
| Tasted by sjr on 1/22/2014 & rated 88 points: I found this quite interesting. Needs a bit of time open for some weird notes to blow off. Though I agree that acidity is lacking, this is quite a pleasant wine. Floral minerality on the nose. Thick but not heavy in the mouth with grapefruit and other citrus notes. Perhaps a bit of pear. Slightly sweet, but not sugary. Round finish. Would drink by 2015-16. (1056 views) |
| Tasted by Bob H on 12/21/2013: Bronze/gold in the glass; nice nose, with baked apple & spices.
Crisp on the palate; I think some previous notes have cited a lack of acidity, but this certainly seems to have enough for my tastes. A little "foursquare" on the finish, but still an interesting wine. (970 views) |
| Tasted by dbkitc on 8/11/2013 & rated 91 points: Light golden color. Fresh nose of melon, hay and white flowers. Enough richness to make things really interesting. Precise palate that still coats the mouth. Excellent wine, whose ripe pear fruit is perfectly balanced by refreshing minerality. Complete - a lovely light bodied white that packs a punch. Serious. | Tasted by Baudelaire on 8/3/2013 & rated 89 points: Crisp, flinty; apples, pear, a bit of citrus. Also a little buttery on the aftertaste. Went wonderfully with a caprese salad and grilled ahi tuna. (871 views) |
| Tasted by Firefly78 on 5/31/2013 & rated 82 points: Mineral and savory but lacking the acidity to back it up, so ends up flat and hollow. (901 views) |
| Tasted by tooch on 4/4/2013 & rated 85 points: Pretty typical for Gringet. Fresh melons, honeysuckle, and minerlas. This had medium acidity...a hair too little if I'm being critical. Nice serviceable wine, but not something I'd run out and buy. (1637 views) |
