| Community Tasting Notes (average 90 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 10 notes) - hiding notes with no text | | Tasted by wineshlub on 12/14/2023 & rated 91 points: Popped and poured. Light, sharp, aroma of red fruit and flowers. Delicate flavors of cherry fruit with leafy notes lead into a sweet strawberry finish.
Restrained, firm backbone, some complexity. Classic Loire and great QPR. (141 views) | | Tasted by fcxj on 12/22/2015 & rated 90 points: Nice lively nose, good fruit and somewhat herbaceous. Medium body and length. Enjoyable. (3252 views) | | Tasted by greenblanket on 8/29/2015: Soil driven and slightly fragrent of the farm when opened but - in a good way. After a while, say after the first half of the Hawks game, a beautiful core of mineral and herb accented Cab Franc emerges. Nice, but the offensive line still smells like crap. (3440 views) | | Tasted by Benj on 5/16/2015 & rated 88 points: Tart red fruit, earth, olive, slightly green tannins. Gently oxidative style. Lightweight but quite warm. Tasty. 12%, $18. (3117 views) | | Tasted by drwine2001 on 9/27/2014: Light red. Camphor and herbs. Light weight, simple cherry fruit. Not much to it. (3965 views) | | Tasted by greenblanket on 9/19/2014: Aromas and flavors of blackberries and red fruit, mineral, earth and just a hint of nettles. Light. Precise. Transparent. Lovely. (3694 views) | | Tasted by blakel on 7/14/2014 & rated 91 points: Light but precise, smooth and focussed, with classic Cab Franc notes of tart red fruit and minerals and maybe a subtle note of anise. Lovely depth. Drinking beautifully now, but should develop and last a long time. Insane QPR for around $12 from Chamber St Wines - I would gladly pay twice the price for wine of this character and depth. (1481 views) | | Tasted by Chris Newport on 5/30/2014: A really nice vintage of this wine. It seems rounder and less rustic than previous vintages, although make no mistake, this is still cab franc from the Loire. Enjoyed this quite a bit. Drinking well now. (1494 views) | | Tasted by Chomsky on 5/24/2014: Lightweight and delicious. There's a compelling softness or fleshiness to the fruit here that is more immediately accessible than I've experienced with previous vintages of this wine. (1535 views) | | Tasted by drwine2001 on 5/17/2014: Medium ruby. Varietal nose of olive and light cherry. Light weight, herbal and quite tannic in the mouth with the fruit in the background. Hold for a few years. (989 views) |
