Tasted by AndrewSGHall on 1/23/2024: The minerality here veered too much into petrol for me and eclipsed the fruit. Beautiful structure and acid bones. Hint of floral jasmine on the finish. Not gonna fault this for what it is, but it was not enjoyable for me tonight. (205 views)
Tasted by asgerG on 9/2/2023 & rated 91 points: PnP
Rather deep beautiful golden colour
Intense bouquet of minreality, Riesling flowers and ripe yellow fruits, very interesting
Harmonious palate, h-A, h-B, dry, quite full bodied and flavorful, long fruity/mineral finish.

Tasted by S. Connery on 7/21/2021 & rated 87 points: Aroma av fersken. Fet konsistens, floral med behagelig syre og hint av eple. Tørr utgang. (333 views)
Tasted by brinko99 on 12/19/2020 flawed bottle: Absolute trace amount of TCA, not enough to totally kill the wine. What was showing was very precise, sharp, with otherwise obvious but unfortunately muted fruit. (438 views)
Tasted by Aravind Asok on 5/17/2020: When I am not home to choose which wines to open, the corks start flying. This btl shouldn't have been opened yet, since it just arrived earlier this week, but oh well. On the nose, lovely salinity, sour lychee, and peach. On the palate, fantastic acidity, excellent density, but somehow not harmonious...loads of wet stone minerality and nice salinity, but missing something. I'm going to give this the benefit of the doubt and call it bottle shock. (514 views)

#2014 Vintage Notes:
2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise
2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator
"My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)
