Tasted by Mh33 on 12/17/2023 & rated 88 points: Simple, solid. Nothing special. (476 views)
Tasted by Chasseuralarc on 9/4/2023 & rated 92 points: Day 1: 86 Score. Easy to drink, although somewhat light. This wine had good deep purple color, some blackberry, plum, but light finish. I gave day 1 an 86 score. A pleasant average drinking wine, but nothing special. Did not decanter, served straight from 55° wine refrigerator to glass.

Day 2: 89 Score. Kept bottle out at room temperature since opened yesterday. Bigger fruit and pepper on the nose. Mouth feel brought pleasant and comforting blackberry, fruit forward, then black and green pepper, with peanut on the slightly longer finish. I give this wine an 89 rating at best on it's 2nd day. A little better, still pleasant, but average.

Day 3: 92 Score. Much improved, way more opened up. Bigger body, bigger structure, and bigger flavors. An entirely better wine today. Beautiful blackberry fruit (forward), black pepper, spice. On the long, much fuller finish, again black pepper, then chocolate. I easily rate this wine a 92 on day 3. But now at end of bottle. Shame, as I would have liked to try a Day 4. (648 views)
Tasted by winenewbiecaitlyn on 8/28/2023 & rated 79 points: Tasted like regular wine to me. Was recommended as a cheaper alternative to a Cakebread alternative. I don't think they compare. (628 views)
Tasted by Cinful1 on 6/11/2023: Don’t recall actual consumption date (751 views)
Tasted by jdukc on 3/30/2023 & rated 100 points: Sweet on the back end (924 views)
Tasted by Bill B. on 3/13/2023 & rated 85 points: Needed a full day before opening up. The first day and first smell and taste were not very pleasant, but from then on it improved dramatically. A decent wine for everyday drinking...nothing special. (554 views)
Tasted by NickMcPheron on 1/10/2023 & rated 74 points: Smooth, but not much going on here. (623 views)
Tasted by chifred on 10/3/2022 & rated 88 points: Deep red/blue. Full nose with black fruit and licorice. Full on palate with nice, dry tannins. Decent finish. (997 views)
Tasted by Wstinson9 on 9/16/2022 & rated 90 points: The finish seems drier with a bit more acid than previous lots. I still like it as an everyday wine, just not quite as much as previous versions. UPDATE: this wine has mellowed since I last had it back in 2022. Smooth and flavorful; one of my favorite everyday wines. (974 views)
Tasted by Lilb on 7/16/2022: a bit watery. weak notes. fruit forward with some acid finish (949 views)
Tasted by Lilb on 7/16/2022: watery. weak finish (1060 views)
Tasted by RockinCabs on 6/24/2022 & rated 79 points: This is much more wine beverage than wine. Flavors are black cherry, sappy cola and spice. Built for a flavor, not as a wine in the proper sense. Drinkable with a quick cheese burger, but I would not seek this out for est. $20 (1128 views)
Tasted by Dougie D on 3/25/2022 & rated 86 points: Took a while to open up, about 90 minutes. Paired well with Ribeye steaks. (896 views)
Tasted by Lax4 on 3/13/2022 & rated 88 points: Great wine for the price. Fruit forward and smooth finish. (820 views)
Tasted by Baxterna on 3/4/2022 & rated 85 points: Average. Not bad at all and certainly enjoyable. (508 views)
Tasted by Mccwa on 1/30/2022: Good Monday nite wine (420 views)
Tasted by WINDELLAO3 on 1/16/2022 & rated 90 points: The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant. It tastes like blackberry and raspberry. The body is medium/full. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Tasted by Baron Slick on 1/10/2022 & rated 87 points: New World notes of black cherries, wet earth, minty herbs, and brown sugar. It's full bodied, accessible, and has enough spine and balance to hold its fruit bomb heft in place. (853 views)
Tasted by Jgdrinks on 1/9/2022 & rated 88 points: Smooth and fruity. Not complicated, every day wine (906 views)
Tasted by JimmyR on 12/31/2021 & rated 89 points: love it (667 views)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.

Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet Sauvignon

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
