Distinctive nose, wood chips, apple and a spiciness.
On the palate citrus, apples, not too acidic, with some complexity that meets spiciness like ginger very well. (714 views)
Tasted by EXPLORER 825 on 6/5/2022 & rated 90 points: Light straw color in the glass with very abundant effervescence. Mild aromas of fresh apples, lemon and vanilla. Balanced acidity with smooth finish. (1682 views)
Tasted by RobDuff on 3/4/2022: . (595 views)
Tasted by 32lakeviewwine on 11/2/2021 & rated 89 points: Must have been older bottling as it was heavily oxidized. We have no problem but it was pronounced. (1993 views)
Tasted by marcfrankpe on 8/15/2021 & rated 85 points: Lidt pappet. Ca 2 år efter forventet degorgering. Umiddelbart ikke gemme egnet. (2134 views)
Tasted by KAT9 on 7/9/2021 & rated 89 points: Hint of minerality on the nose, some stone fruit, lemon peel. On the palate, high acidity. Ok finish. Very lean. (2293 views)
Tasted by spacewrangler on 12/14/2020: Green apple and almond nose, on the leaner side with what tastes like a solid dosage. Good for sub-$30, (2546 views)
Tasted by KAT9 on 11/16/2020 & rated 89 points: Seems a little bit more weighty compare to last time. Simple pleasant champagne without a lot of aromas. On the palate, high acidity, toasty, slight sweet, but ok with spicy food. (2233 views)
Tasted by KAT9 on 9/24/2020 & rated 88 points: Light, simple, slight green on the nose. Decent finish. Not sure if it is worth the price. (2105 views)
Tasted by ChDonath on 9/6/2020 & rated 92 points: 92+
Wow, really pleasant entry level nv...

Takes a small moment on air to open up but does so fairly quickly.
At first the bouquet is a bit shy but the taste is already on spot. Minerality, gentle zesty acidity and quite some nice depth. Body could be a tiny bit more rich but really cant complain.

With some time interesting autolytic notes, maybe a subtle hint of vanilla and acidity. Nice long aftertaste with some spiciness.

Really good stuff and should be gorgeous with 4-8 years bottle age. (1612 views)
Tasted by Racer117 on 7/4/2019 & rated 90 points: Seven years since a previous bottle and I find this much more enjoyable. Taking on an aged profile with medium gold color and mushy apple, touch of mustiness, and dough aromas and flavors. (2357 views)
Tasted by MC2 Wines on 6/5/2019: From a half bottle at Canlis in Seattle. Of course pricing doesn’t work at all, but that’s half bottles in nice restaurants. I will say it punches above its retail pricing weight. There’s a sour note to start but that turns nuttier. It’s got a nice acidity and seems to be better with food than on its own (food softens the sour edge). Very tasty. (2037 views)
Tasted by CieloVista on 1/5/2019 & rated 92 points: ...buttery at times; I like the tradition over the blanc to blanc (2135 views)
Tasted by oropeza on 12/26/2018: Pure citrus juice up front, fuzzy mouthfeel, almond cookie, medium-minus acidity (2038 views)
Tasted by wynnewood500 on 12/9/2018: Tasty and hit the spot for lunch on Thanksgiving. (2042 views)
Tasted by RichardsFLX on 1/9/2018 & rated 88 points: Nice value champagne, particularly on the front end. Chalky nose, rich warm fruit on the palate, but not quite enough acidity to keep it from falling off quickly. (2425 views)
Tasted by acyso on 6/4/2016 & rated 85 points: Some blind wines (Chicago, IL): No information on the back of the label. I found this to be of a somewhat "easy" disposition, showing everything right away and hiding absolutely nothing. Very bready and yeasty, coupled with some ripe but browning apples make this just a little bit too much on the umami side of champagne for my palate. Still, there's quite a lot of stuffing here, if it is missing the acidic drive that I love to experience in champagne. (5246 views)
Tasted by astroman on 1/14/2016: Casual Drinks Round 1 2016 (Extra Space Boon Keng, Singapore): Everyone at the table love this. Great drinking and enjoyable. (4267 views)
Tasted by astroman on 12/27/2015: Precise and focus. Slightly oxidative probably as this bottle was stored in merchant's cellar for a while. Enjoyable and a steal at this price. (3980 views)
Tasted by CieloVista on 12/25/2015 & rated 90 points: Integrated and brut....I like this more than the blanc de blanc. (3757 views)
Tasted by ekallio on 11/22/2015: Appley nose, light and crisp on the palate, quite dry and leaves a pleasant lingering bitterness on the finish. High toned, precise aromatics overall. Nice as aperitif. (3450 views)
Tasted by onhell on 10/29/2015: - Greenish color. (2065 views)
Tasted by BillyT on 2/16/2015 & rated 90 points: Beautiful little cramant. Straw in color, tiny bubbles rapid center stream with no sattelite streams. Notes of bread and yeast on the nose. Solid creamy mouth feel with notes citrus, butterscotch. Balanced acidity and minerality through the finish. (2632 views)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
