Final bottle, 5/5, and I'm not interested in buying more from a company that doesn't see the value in keeping a minimum standard.
Even if 2018 was a difficult year in Sancerre, this is still mega isht… (351 views) | | Tasted by StefanAkiko on 1/11/2023: Quite disappointing as it's showing off mainly a diluted wine. Sold as "Le Grand Vin". Even if it's just a brand name, makes me feel a little dirty. They could have made a much better wine this vintage, but they decided to cut corners and make more bottles rather than better bottles… (574 views) | | Tasted by StefanAkiko on 12/30/2022 & rated 86 points: Den är sådär... Saknar stuns och elektricitet. Funkade dock mycket fint med färsk getost.
Borde ju istället ha smakat som AI:et föreslår:
A wine of bright and crisp flavors A bouquet of citrus and grass On the palate, flavors of grapefruit and lime Mixed with hints of herbs and minerals
A wine of freshness and clarity A lively and refreshing finish A true gem from the Sancerre region A wine to be enjoyed on a sunny day (548 views) | | Tasted by StefanAkiko on 8/5/2022 & rated 87 points: Btl 2/5
Has a non-seductive artificial feeling ingrained in its core. Didn’t notice this in the orevious bottle.
Still delicious, but makes for less looking forward to the next encounter.
Far from the stronger wines made at this estate :-( (662 views) | | Tasted by StefanAkiko on 7/31/2022 & rated 90 points: First btl of five.
Light yellow. Tropical, non-descript attractive nose. In the mouth, this is a young rascal, but has all the components that I love about Sancerre.: wondrous acidity from loads of sun but little heat. Kiwi, gooseberries, grass, black currant leaves and plenty of different citrus aromas.
Slight disconnect in the finish and ends a bit short.
Will be exciting to see where it goes over the years to come. Patience is a virtue :-) (628 views) | | Tasted by daffydahl on 5/15/2021 & rated 85 points: Nästan obefintlig doft, anonym kort smak. Saknar kännetecken från sauvignon Blanc. En stor besvikelse. (831 views) | | Tasted by daniel_eat_drink on 3/10/2021 & rated 84 points: Thin, phenolic, alcoholic, bitter, lacks fruit and finesse. Not pleasant to drink. (740 views) | | Tasted by IvanLi on 6/25/2020 & rated 91 points: Peaches, apricots, cantaloupe melon and brioche make up the core of this opulent white. However it lacks acidity and finesse and there is not much tropical, maracuia, liche, pepi de che. May be its just the style or the year but if a blind tasting the Sauvignon Blanc wouldn't be my first guess. (1022 views) |
