Decanted for a couple of hours as the tannins were pronounced on opening, this was a very pleasant wine experience. It's a noble grape like Cabernet but has spicy notes instead of cassis you get with Cabs.
I should invest in cellaring more mid-level Merlots as we really enjoy them as a change of pace from the Cali-cabs. (2816 views) |

Needs an hour to decant. Bitter finish until it opens. However when it does open, pepper, cinnamon wt cherries early wt right acidity & tannins on finish gives a nice oak taste. Very good bottle. (2817 views) |
