| Tasted by Christopheroz on 1/2/2023: Very good CO2 still. Dark ruby in colour. Rich, full and generous sweet fruit. This wine is a classic and we eke out the few remaining ones we have, as they are no longer made. These guys wrote the book on sparkling burgundy. Elegant, stylish - an apex wine (302 views) |
| Tasted by Ozsnapper on 12/25/2021 flawed bottle: Sadly there was no CO2 left in this bottle. Leasingham was one of our favorites but unfortunately the multinational owners decided to carve up the business. Sad but such is life. So many great small independent producers out there. (392 views) |
| Tasted by Croquet King on 5/16/2015 & rated 96 points: What a wine! Drunk with Peking duck.
Colour - vibrant ruby red with hints of purple.
Nose - sweet red berries with hints of earthy spice.
Palate - red fruit and drying tannins. Dry earthy dusty.
This is exactly what a sparkling red should taste like - I'm in love.
Go out and buy this wine. (1202 views) |
| Tasted by Ozsnapper on 12/24/2013 & rated 95 points: Wow, definitely one of the best Sparkling Shirazes I have tasted. Big, concentrated nose of dark berries, supported by oak. Palate leads on from the nose as expected. Just a slight touch of sweetness. (1397 views) |
