Very pale, almost like water depending on what you hold it in front of. You have to work to pick up much of a nose but there's a lovely honeyed, fruity flavour with good acidity and reasonable length. All wine should age so well. This is still drinking well, still rich and mouth-filling fruit, good acidity and length. Always a pleasure to drink. So different from a N.Z. suave blanc. Served with Jerusalem Artichoke Soup with Hazelnut and Spinach Pesto (Nopi). One the palette it is a whole lot of green apple followed by something I can't quite put my finger on. I want to say celery but not certain. Was a delightful start to the evening. (680 views) |
