Tasted by cannym on 5/5/2023 & rated 92 points: Pale straw. Real intensity. Mineral and chalky. Very pure green fruits, Granny Smith, gooseberry, limes. Great acidity. Good length. Very fine. And still very fresh. Little change from one a couple of years ago. (765 views)
Tasted by Vinumming & Ahhing on 4/28/2023: Less Celebrated France WIMPS #164 28th April 2023 (La Trompette, Chiswick): A generous pour from another table. This is terrific. Pure, cool, transparent. Lovely limey acidity and mountain stream minerality. There is an oh so subtle spiciness as well. Palate similar with touch of popcorn and a suggestion of custard apple. Love it. (930 views)
Tasted by DaleW on 12/27/2022: Bright, tensile, rich lemon fruit, seashells. B+/A- (953 views)
Tasted by french16 on 11/12/2022: High acidity, mineral. Less body and power than usual for Cotat but just like champagne, this 2008 shows the tension and linearity of the vintage. (854 views)

Tasted by cannym on 7/8/2021 & rated 91 points: Pale straw. Real intensity. Mineral and chalky. Very pure green fruits, Granny Smith, gooseberry, limes. Great acidity. Good length. Very fine. And st ill quite fresh. (1197 views)
Tasted by hsacks on 5/4/2021 & rated 94 points: Similar to the 5/20 bottle and consumed with David and Lynn Newman at Pumpkin Restaurant. (1228 views)
Tasted by DaleW on 4/6/2021: Bright and nervy, lovely fruit, wet rocks and seashells on the finish. A-/B+ (1352 views)
Tasted by DaleW on 11/10/2020: Taut, delineated, wet rocks on a lemon backdrop, yowsa A- (1371 views)
Tasted by hsacks on 5/31/2020 & rated 94 points: This bottle was even more complex and delicious than the 10/2/16 bottle. In fact, it was one of the best Sauvignon Blancs I have tasted in the past 10 years. (909 views)
Tasted by cubswinws on 4/6/2020 & rated 92 points: Holding up quite nicely. More rounded fruit profile at this point and still a slight zesty finish. Really nice. (925 views)
Tasted by Blacksmith450 on 3/9/2020 & rated 93 points: Encore en grande forme, il prend du gras. Très structuré en bouche. (1496 views)
Tasted by sburtt on 1/20/2019 & rated 91 points: very gentle and elegant, lovely wine to start the night, I love the citrus notes on the finish and the complex nose ,this 2008 is only starting to come out now, had many years ahead no hurry to drink the rest of the bottles.. the longer the better (1348 views)
Tasted by sburtt on 12/26/2018 & rated 91 points: Lovely acidity, this wine feels so young, it is starting to drink now, but really can last forever, very delicate nose and well balanced, I am happy I have more bottles of this beauty to enjoy over time (1176 views)
Tasted by Blacksmith450 on 5/31/2018 & rated 93 points: fruit croquant, belle tension. Potentiel incroyable. À attendre. (2314 views)
Tasted by Jean-Philippe M on 10/24/2017: Sans notes. Magnifique, mais excessivement jeune encore ...

4/5 (2018 views)

Part of a blind tasting with a Vincent Dauvissat 1er Cru Les Forêts et Chablis Gilbert Picq 2015 en Vaudécorse. The color is still young for a 2008. The nose is very expressive right form the start, Sauvignon is the obvious call, the nose shows a lot of varietal odors, honey after a while, a bit of grapefruit also. The nose keeps changing and is very expressive and throwing some people off the track of a Sauvignon. The wine is still young, fresh, mineral, a very good length and a very nice bottle. The verdict is unanimous in the end, the Dauvissat was by far the favorite, although we had a good flight of 3 Whites, with no common theme, but just for the fun of it. (1729 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 9/24/2017 flawed bottle: Opened because shaggy floating particles noted. Alas, probably fungal contamination-mousy, chemical taste and no texture after straining. Not the first time this has happened with a Cotat from this period, and in fact, I have another bottle of 2005 waiting that looks the same. Not very happy. (1941 views)
Tasted by WST on 6/10/2017: Great bottle, yet far from peak. Mostly primary, but great fruit/acid/mineral balance. Lots of grapefruit peel, and an appealing bitterness. One of those wines that seems dense and lithe at the same time. I was hoping to drink these while my younger vintages rest, but I'll wait a few year to revisit these '08's as well. (1712 views)
Tasted by hsacks on 10/2/2016 & rated 93 points: Similar to the 4/12/16 bottle except a touch less herbal and more complex. (1592 views)
Tasted by cubswinws on 7/29/2016 & rated 91 points: Lovely balance and softness. A few years have mellowed this wine and taken away some of the sharp edges. Really drinking well now. (1573 views)
Tasted by portman63 on 4/30/2016 & rated 91 points: With a little more maturity on it, this bottle shows less youthful freshness than some of the 2010/11 ones I have opened, yet it has laser-like focus in chalky minerality and more subtle white pear/apple fruit in a rich yet clean finish. A perfect match for a goat cheese with caramelized onions dish. Has years to go. (1787 views)
Tasted by hsacks on 4/12/2016 & rated 92 points: Light greenish/yellow color. Aromas of limes, green herbs and smoke. Ripe, nicely structured, high acid fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length. Very full and intense on the palate. Surpsingly youthful and fresh at 8 years of age. Delicious with the outstanding white asparagus and speck appetizer at the Farm and the Fisherman Restaurant. (1732 views)
Tasted by AtoZ on 1/21/2016: Nice with salad. Long life ahead. Hold three years at least. (1749 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 1/21/2016: Pale. Typical, pungent white grapefruit rind. Lighter and less layered than usual for Cotat. Strict, dry citrus, strong minerality. This needs years to develop some flesh. (1689 views)
