Excellent depth and well integrated tannin, acid, and dark fruits. I'd guess that sangiovese is the dominant grape in this blend, with some merlot in the mix as well. Clean with dark fruits, ripe cherries, violets, earth and subtle oak. Savoury and minerally, with bracing acidity, highish level of smooth tannins, moderate alcohol (13.5%). Intense and persistent, full bodied, oak nicely integrated. Very long, complex, rich. Perfect match for winter dish of polenta and spuntatura.
