Tasted by LB88 on 8/15/2021 & rated 91 points: Yellow wax top. Soft creamy but just a little abrupt on the finish! (1423 views)
Tasted by djhammond on 3/6/2021 & rated 93 points: Looking at other reviews, I really struck lucky with this bottle with the wine still in a perfect spot in spite of its age. The colour was pristine with no signs of discolouration. Likewise the palate was excellent with crisp flavours of lemon, peach and mango. The finish is a little sharp towards the end, but is well balanced and lengthy. I purchased this recently from a highly reputable source, and it obviously had impeccable provenance, and I would not hesitate to recommend similarly well stored wines. 93+ (1711 views)
Tasted by fcxj on 1/8/2019 & rated 86 points: Masterclass. Really, really sweet. On edge of overbearingly so, probably bit over. (2175 views)
Tasted by pped2509 on 12/10/2015 & rated 91 points: My experience was exactly the same as UTPK reported. I had one previous bottle, maybe a year ago, that was oxidised so expectations were low. But this sample had all the complexity and flavour that you expect in a mature top-tier Puligny-Montrachet. Just not the acidity. Lovely wine. (3939 views)
Tasted by UTPK on 11/17/2014: At Sommellier. Lovely surprise as there was no heat or flabbiness to this wine. Open and mature aromas of butter, lemon, some honey and a trace of pineneedles. Good balance but obviously not as much acidity as one os used to in Pucelles. Good drink! (4457 views)
Tasted by Chuck Miller on 6/26/2011 flawed bottle: Corked (5986 views)
Tasted by Chuck Miller on 6/25/2011: Disappointing. Flat, soft, no acid, limited fruit. This needs to be consumed in the very near term. (5789 views)
Tasted by fredb on 9/3/2010: Medium yellow color. Aromas of lemon, minerals, pineapple, and a hint of butterscotch. On the palate, this is monolithic, showing only butterscotch and vanilla wood notes with a long finish that just deadens the palate. Hard to finish the glass and the wine only goes oxidative over the next two days. Disappointing. A cream sauce or heavier dish might keep up and help this show some character, but it is not what I think of when I think Leflaive. Drink. (5650 views)
Tasted by jimbomatic on 5/18/2010 & rated 80 points: Wickedly disappointing. This wine has flattened out immensely. It is not a pre-mox victim, just a wine that has no Puligny character left in it. This would easily be mistaken for run of the mill California Chardonnay. Oaky, buttery, lifeless, dull and berift of any zipiness, minerality or true depth and complexity. Glad this was the last '03. (4287 views)
Tasted by reichken on 6/9/2008 & rated 88 points: Masterclass with Anne Claude Leflaive (Caledonian Club, London, England): Corney Leflaive Masterclass-yellow gold color, slight sulphur and stone on the nose. in the mouth lemony soft fat, a touch of mineral, low acidity, med short finish (5174 views)
Tasted by fredb on 9/2/2007: Light, gold color, effusive nose of mineral, sea breeze, yellow and white flowers, and pineapple. On the palate, the acid is stronger than I expected, with a core of butterscotch fruit surrounded by Leflaive signature minerality. The brightness of the wine faded with some time in the glass, but the structure was less ripe than I was expecting. This shows promise to develop nicely. Pleasant to drink now, with plenty of development potential over the next decade or so. (3132 views)
Tasted by 32lakeviewwine on 9/30/2006 & rated 94 points: I am not a great rater in detailss, but it was an excellent chard, great nose, nice balance, I cannot believe that it is the same grape that is bottled in California (3634 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
