Some honeysuckle and lemon curd. Seems flat and a little dull. (2300 views) | | Tasted by europat55 on 7/30/2014 & rated 90 points: So good!! (2248 views) | | Tasted by europat55 on 7/2/2014 & rated 89 points: Very tasty!! From 375ml. (2339 views) | | Tasted by ChipGreen on 3/25/2014 & rated 87 points: Better than I remember, it seems a little bottle age has helped this wine round into form. Golden color, nose of melons and pear. On the palate, slightly viscous with stone fruits, honey-lemon, some minerality and a sea-salt finish. Smoother and better integrated than previous bottles consumed over a year ago. (2668 views) | | Tasted by marcellevi on 12/20/2013 & rated 87 points: Nice wine. Pear flavors, slightly smoky, butter. (2680 views) | | Tasted by JDR58 on 9/2/2013 & rated 87 points: Pear flavor up front with a little bit of tartness on the close. (1228 views) | | Tasted by Wino Laurie on 6/5/2013 & rated 87 points: Always a favorite Viognier, enjoy the tropical fruits with spicy undertones that call to mind the fragrance of the Middle East. Medium body makes it an ideal choice for food pairing. (1331 views) | | Tasted by North316 on 4/21/2013 & rated 75 points: Not a fan at all. Tastes like beer. (1655 views) | | Tasted by Levinsb on 4/3/2013 & rated 88 points: Nice dry wine with floral nose. Good not great v (1319 views) | | Tasted by kietkopelli on 11/4/2012 & rated 87 points: This is the first Viognier I've had in a few years. I like it overall but ti feels awkward. The nose is has pineapple, grapefruit, and sea spray. In the mouth it has citrus on the forefront and starfruit on the back but both are very light. What is noticeable is a salty taffy like finish. Everything about this wine is light, I wish some of the profiles are a bit bigger otherwise any Pinot Gris in the $10 range will come close to this wine.
Remember you don't drink the label. (1409 views) | | Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 5/8/2012: They have been making this since 1998 I am being told. Always from the same grower in Frenzo. Tropical and peachy without hairspray. They think that this is thier best vintage of viognier. Very tasty, salt finish. Briny. I like it. Apperently the wine maker doesn't like the screw cap. (1680 views) | | Tasted by Metulj on 3/27/2012 & rated 84 points: Strangely placed vanilla notes with stone fruit and guava on the palate. Lightly acidic. Complex minerality on the finish, but nothing special. This wine has more traction as a value bottle than as a $20 selection. Drinkable, but not remarkable. (1800 views) |

This is nonsense.USAAmerican wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson Central Valley The Central California Winegrowers (Official site) | Central Valley (California Wine Institute)Madera Madera Wine Trail (Madera Vintners Association) |
