Tasted by nzinkgraf on 5/12/2014: this has taken a while to come around. first hour open was pretty tough going. showed overly nail polish and some too aldehydic notes in the aromas and/or palate. still has the nail polish going on the palate, apple fruit. maybe note the soundest example of this wine, but i'll be damned if I won't see if it comes around to something. still enjoyable, but just a bit off perhaps.  Tasted by kevinacohn on 10/18/2013 flawed bottle: Surprisingly light yellow in color--if judging exclusively on color I'd have said it wasn't a Coenobium. Disappointingly muted bouquet and thin palate. I detected a slight whiff of vinegar. I kept going to the glass expecting more, but each time I did I was reminded of Welch's White Grape Juice in smell, taste, and mouthfeel. Overall this was an unimpressive bottle of wine, and based on my experience with the producer and wine I'm calling this a flawed bottle. Not rated. (2834 views)
Tasted by shleepy on 7/15/2013 & rated 88 points: A lovely shade of orange. Taste is citrusy, lightly floral. Tanic / chalky mouthfeel. I don't agree with the other reviewer about this tasting like a normal, boring white wine... but it IS fairly boring and one-dimensional for a Bea. You can definitely buy something more complex and interesting for the money - though maybe it won't be an orange wine. (3284 views)
Tasted by Votefordennis on 6/1/2013 & rated 91 points: Refreshing acidity, low alcohol but not sweet, tart in a nice way, a distant hint of bubbly (2907 views)
Tasted by slanum on 4/20/2013: This bottle seems to have lost much of the freshness I experienced several months ago and was distinctly cidery in a way that could lead one to question whether it was wine at all. (3086 views)
Tasted by Tranquility Base on 3/29/2013 & rated 85 points: Very interesting wine. I would buy it again. It tastes more like a homemade wine, sort or rough and changing its quality as you drink it. 45% Trebbiano, 35% Malvasia, and 20% Verdicchio. Interesting fruit combination, not terribly dry though.  Tasted by JM_MadTown on 3/3/2013 & rated 88 points: Light blanco from Italy. Creamy, a little spicy on the finish with notes of anise, lemon and orange peal, maybe some asian spices. Quite pleasant. (1278 views)
Tasted by marc d on 1/25/2013: I liked this a lot. It is less "orange" and tannic then a previous vintage I tried.
Very dry, nice aromatics, great spice on the finish, like Eastern spices.
Very good with baked manicotti and arugula salad. Would buy this again. (1516 views)
Tasted by nzinkgraf on 12/20/2012: 45% Trebbiano, 35% Malvasia, 20% Verdicchio (1385 views)
Tasted by gilrbo on 12/20/2012: Straw yellow of medium-light depth. Just a very slight haze.
Nose has some floral notes and aromatic herbs, (anise and helichrysum) but overall not quite fine. In fact at moments it seemed rather ordinary white wine.
Similar profile on the palate. Disappointing.

Tasted by *Vine* on 11/23/2012: Popped and poured. Light yellow-gold hue. Off the pour, this shows quite the funky nose...almost rustic to the point of feral gaminess. With aeration, the aromas evolve into a most unique combination of dried rose petal, lime peel, subtle cherry, freshly chopped shallot, and anise. Light body. On the palate, this is utterly bizarre...it seemingly shows more cherry fruits along with honeydew melon, grapefruit, herbes de Provance, sliced almond, brine, an impression of crushed stones, and freshly ground white pepper (??). Unique to the point of defying comparative description...but if attempting, almost like a Syrah-based CdR mixed with Pinot Noir from Cheverny along with a steely Muscadet. Lengthy finish with moderate acidity, and perhaps even subtle tannins carrying everything through. It's hard to even venture how this is for aging, but it should certainly last for at least 2-3 years.
Wines like this keep life interesting. (1479 views)
Tasted by nzinkgraf on 11/9/2012: Dried apple. Full texture. Balanced and skin contact. (1348 views)
Tasted by schwank on 11/4/2012 & rated 89 points: Light color, lots of sediment. Floral nose with wonderfully complex flavors. Unique and I would love to have some more... (1452 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 10/31/2012: Dried apple, with spritzy acidity on the back end. Vibrant, alive. Very ripe sliced granny smith. Texture. All over the place. Very long finish with a brine, salt character. Exciting. (1458 views)
Tasted by InternationalWineReport on 10/14/2012 & rated 90 points: Very Interesting. 90-92 Points (1462 views)
Tasted by BernieMSY on 10/12/2012 & rated 88 points: Quite pale, with a mildly floral nose. A bit tart, with grapefruit tones, this wine possesses great depth of flavor. An unusual wine, chard lovers may wish to stay away (1280 views)
Tasted by slanum on 9/19/2012: A particularly successful vintage of this for my taste. The thing I call 'lactic' and vaguely Belgian beer-like is present but not in such abundance this year. Straight out of the fridge / bottle I enjoyed this a lot. Idiosyncratic in a good way. (1560 views)
Tasted by Riccardo Malocchio on 8/11/2012 & rated 89 points: Lighter color than anticipated (I've only previously had the Rusticum). Pear, melon, and a surprisingly steely profile on entry, turning a bit ciderish on the finish. Much lighter bodied than Rusticum, almost not quite on the orange spectrum. Very strong pairing with high umami flavors, particularly mussels. Drunk at Eastern Standard-Boston $43. (1669 views)
Tasted by brianmik on 5/14/2012: Very large, white crystals on the cork bottom. Very light in color for an 'orange wine,' but with the characteristic cloudiness. Aromas of orange and pineapple on the nose, with a little minerality. Similar flavors, along with some lemon. (1713 views)
