Tasted by zbsussman on 12/5/2014: Yes, this has surely become a bit volatile. Somewhat raspy, but there's still an underlying eucalyptus herbaceous quality? It's really a bit farty though. Huge fan of this producer, not really a fan of this wine (or at least, this specific bottle). (1303 views)
Tasted by TannicBeast on 10/13/2013 & rated 84 points: Clear, ruby, medium intensity, medium consistency. The nose has some intense brett, with moderately complex aromas of spice, animal, musk, liquorice, pepper, red fruits, cranberries, pine roses, smoke and cola. The nose is developed. The palate is dry, with medium (-) alcohol, moderately smooth, medium (-) tannins, medium (-) minerality and medium acidity. The wine is medium bodied, moderately balanced, with medium intensity and medium length. Drink now, not likely to improve with further ageing. (1309 views)
Tasted by tzelmer on 9/11/2013 & rated 74 points: I agree with the other notes in this wine but will add that there is also significant volatile acidity. Not very good. (1319 views)
Tasted by nicefish on 5/17/2013 & rated 87 points: Quirky. Bitter cherry and barnyard on the nose but on the palate the fruit steps forward, there's a zestyness, and the barnyard disappears. Nice for a refreshing change of pace, but I won't be seeking it out. (1414 views)
Tasted by vilepotabissabinum on 4/14/2013: The brett/rubbery funk is fairly intense here, especially at first, and though it recedes it was impossible to shake from my taste buds, even on 2nd day. That said there is plenty of fruit, and it is a wine of surprising concentration and succulent density. More like a Pinot than a Gamay. (1411 views)
(800 views)
