Tasted by Fausto_Coppi on 12/5/2021 & rated 91 points: bone dry, elegant, well balanced and fresh flavoured chardonnay that ticks all the right boxes. long, dry fruit driven finish. lovely wine. (682 views)
Tasted by Fausto_Coppi on 3/14/2019 & rated 90 points: Elegant, stylish. mature chardonnay packed with clean pineapple and citrus fruit, gentle acidity and crisp, fruit driven finish. Very enjoyable white burgundy from a classy producer. (1383 views)
Tasted by Fausto_Coppi on 9/4/2017 & rated 88 points: Hints of pineapple and grapefruit on the nose. Dry, crisp palate with citrus flavours predominating. Clean, fresh finish. (2255 views)
Tasted by djpo on 7/7/2017 & rated 89 points: Citrus, cream, on a bed of straw. (2466 views)
Tasted by jmoore431 on 5/16/2017 & rated 90 points: Medium straw; nose of white flowers, stony minerality and apples; savory and elegant. EXCELLENT for a simple bourgogne. (2565 views)
Tasted by Keith Clark on 4/30/2017 & rated 89 points: Last two bottles - I wish I had some to keep a little longer because I am sure it will give another year or two. A brilliant light gold with greenish hints - not necessarily what you expect from a burgundy. Biscuits and marzipan on the nose with green apples and white stone fruits; perhaps a hint of caramel. A mellow, buttery taste but with a good dose of acid to give a firmer mouthful than you might otherwise expect. Apples, maybe some pears, apricots and some mixed tropical fruits. Very good with food. (2210 views)
Tasted by MikeyCbg on 4/13/2017 & rated 89 points: Baked Apple, fresh citrus, restrained nutty complexity. Delicious. (1851 views)
Tasted by Keith Clark on 1/14/2017 & rated 88 points: No detailed note. Curiously closed nose - really not giving much away. Subtle biscuits with apples and tropical fruits. Seems more delicate than previous bottles. A nice hit of acid still on the finish. (1242 views)
Tasted by Keith Clark on 11/18/2016 & rated 88 points: Peaches and cream on the nose, maybe a little rhubarb too - the nose is starting to round out beautifully. A curious note of passion fruit, with some lemon verbena or maybe lemon thyme. Creamy texture in the mouth with apples, apricots, some lime squash. Nicely balanced and good with food. (1152 views)
Tasted by FransS on 1/14/2016 & rated 89 points: 'Only' Les Sétilles, 'only' 2011, only € 15 and 89 points, than you know how to make wine. Light colour, very fresh bouquet, bit wood, firm taste, but not edgy, stylish, tannins are recognizable, kudos to the team. (2428 views)
Tasted by chrisanderika on 12/25/2015 & rated 89 points: Outstanding! (1510 views)
Tasted by Keith Clark on 11/23/2015 & rated 91 points: No detailed note. Good structured burgundy, best with food - nice balance of wood and fruit. (2303 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 8/19/2015 & rated 86 points: Ripe apple on both nose and palate with some floral flourishes with subtle spice and a Puligny richness. Moderate depth and length, but good for near-term enjoyment and good for its level. (3173 views)
Tasted by Shazas on 7/10/2015 & rated 90 points: Just great entry level burgundy. Needs at least 20-30mins breathing and not to be too cold. Opens up beautifully. A lovely Oaked Chardonnay, unpretentious and valuptious when at its best. (2743 views)
Tasted by aajder on 7/7/2015 & rated 86 points: Nice color. The nose is a bit closed, showing aromas of citrus, lemon peel, white flowers and hints of mineral. This is medium light bodied on the palate, with ok concentration and a slight lack of class. The medium length finish features just enough acidity. Easy to drink. (2046 views)
Tasted by cos65 on 7/3/2015: Light yellow. Nice bright lemon, peach flavors. Dry steely finish. (1546 views)
Tasted by MAOC on 6/8/2015: PNP. Pale yellow colour. Flinty nose with hints of lemon and ripe peach; the palate showed decent intensity for a Bourgogne and the overall profile was distinctly Puligny. Good value **1/2 (1539 views)
Tasted by oropeza on 5/24/2015 & rated 87 points: slight apple with plenty of lemon behind it, med-high acidity (1150 views)
Tasted by BuzzzzOff on 4/27/2015 & rated 89 points: We joined the Winemaker's Tour, which included a walk through several vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet followed by a visit to the winery and lunch at Le Maison Olivier Leflaive. We tasted this wine during a most excellent and very liquid lunch. Shockingly decent wine. Fresh, light. Inexpensive!! (1458 views)
Tasted by yofog on 2/28/2015: Pretty, typical, and sophisticated, but just a little too lacking in concentration to offer real pleasure. It's like it's whispering rather than speaking. (1428 views)
Tasted by Keith Clark on 2/21/2015 & rated 91 points: Silver with minerally green notes. Tropical fruit noise (papaya and passion fruit) with a little vanilla and perhaps an underlying note of peach. Hints of toffee apple or light toffee sauce. Delicious and versatile with food. Initially green apples in the mouth, quickly gives way to tropical fruit, only for the green apples, with plenty of acidity, to return on the finish. Finish lingers, with some lemon curd. (1380 views)
Tasted by La Cave d'Argent on 2/9/2015 & rated 90 points: Now light-to-medium yellow in color, this Bourgogne remains vibrant on the nose and palate, with floral aromas accented by citrus, pears and wet stones. Light-bodied yet structured, it presents flavors which mirror the nose, framed with crisp acidity, well-integrated alcohol and restrained oak. Solid in the middle and closing medium-to-long, this is still a high quality-to-price wine which is worthy of a search. It is holding up well and should provide pleasure for at least another couple of years. Drink now-2017. (1502 views)
Tasted by Keith Clark on 1/24/2015 & rated 89 points: Nose of nectarines with some light mandarin, zesty - somehow like mandarin yogurt; some apples and brandy (Cointreau?). Taste of Apple juice with big acid. Peaches, perhaps with a little mango. Very fresh. (1302 views)
Tasted by TheWineyChef on 10/5/2014 & rated 88 points: Nice entry level wine from leflaive, lemon peel, curd, toasted nuts. Good value for Money nice everyday drinker (1979 views)
Tasted by eschaefer on 8/23/2014 & rated 89 points: 2nd bottle tried at Metropole this night. It suffered from the same "captain cold" treatment from the wine steward, however it was a better wine than the Clerget. White flowers, toasted almond along with pear and lemon peel notes in a pale straw colored wine. Very good when it warmed to a drinkable temp. For a village wine this was very good, although somewhat expected from LeFlaive. Recommended (2430 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
