Tasted by Shells4you on 2/21/2016 & rated 92 points: Loved it! (2244 views)
Tasted by cjsadler on 4/28/2014 & rated 88 points: Nose and palate of dark dried fruits, but with a nice streak of acidity and tannin to balance. Could use a bit more complexity for the price. (3459 views)
Tasted by richshoes on 4/12/2014 & rated 89 points: very drinkable, syrah, with some fruit bomb and hints of chocolate, cherry, and squid ink. solid backbone of tannic structure with nice roundedness. 53% syrah, 36% petite syrah, 8% zin, 3% grenache. (3479 views)
Tasted by richshoes on 2/8/2014 & rated 91 points: 53% syrah, 36% petite sirah, 8% zinfandel, 3% grenache...with this mixture, sort of a sweeter, fun wine. so drinkable right now with nice layers of complexity and elegance, given the price point. raspberry, cherry, dark plum, and vanilla dominate with some nice, grippy tannins about a third of the way through...a lot of fruit in the first half of the palate. (3640 views)
Tasted by GTFreek on 2/4/2014: 53/36/8/3 Syrah/Petite Sirah/Zinfandel/Grenache. Nose shows dark fruit, molasses, sweet plum, baking spice. Palate shows same, dark and sweet, raisin but sweeter, dates, blackberry, black plum. Medium tannins, medium complexity. Definitely about the fruit, maybe too forward to call balanced. A certain style that some won't like, but some will love. (3565 views)
Tasted by corkscrews on 12/11/2013 & rated 89 points: Similiar note, not quite as good as last time tried. www.winelx.com (1681 views)
Tasted by corkscrews on 10/12/2013 & rated 90 points: A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied red blend, with black cherry, currants, juicy in style, cinnamon spice on long finish. An interesting and enjoyable blend, good QPR. www.winelx.com (763 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 8/13/2013 & rated 90 points: Lush and full on the nose, with lots of fresh black currants and plums, some floral and sweet coconut notes. Full-bodied and inky with firm tannins and some surprising zip from the acid. The plum and currant fruit is really velvety, not quite thick but getting close. I pick up some distinct walnut notes mixed in with the mocha, dusty earth and potpourri. Despite being a bold wine, it presents itself well, and the deliciousness is undeniable. 53% Syrah, 36% Petite Sirah, 8% Zinfandel and 3% Grenache. (920 views)
Tasted by TampaMark on 7/21/2013 & rated 87 points: Enjoyed at the tasting room with live music outside. (772 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
