I can't explain how or why the two bottles could be so different. Nor does it come across as a serious Aussie shiraz, having tasted a bottle of the 2003 Thorn-Clarke Shotfire last week. As I'm editing and rewriting this (trying to be polite), the wine seems to be improving in the glass. To be fair, I'll leave the rest (90%) of the bottle for tomorrow for a followup review.
