This is a surprisingly light-colored wine which delivers in spades on the palate. Ripe, sweet cherry and raspberry, with a bitter-sweet, herbal finish, which gives it a distinctive character. Tasty and very food friendly. Drinking well now, it is not likely to improve with further cellaring. In a blind tasting, it would be very difficult to peg this as a wine from deep Southern Italy.
