Apperance: Clear purple. Well-formed legs. Clean in the glass, in contrast to the heavily extracted Carnival of Love.
Nose: Dark berries, blueberries, plum. Vanilla oak and some sweet spices. Noticeable heat.
Palate: Blackberries, stewed prunes, a hefty dose of vanilla, and some milk chocolate notes towards the finish. Medium(+) flavour intensity (the fruits), and high acidity helps give it some balance, although nothing like an Old World merlot.

Palate: blueberry jam, cooked blackberry, black pepper and vanilla
This wine punched me in the face, very high heat. Very bold and aggressive up front, long silky finish.

It's beautifully integrated with a hallogenically warm glow enveloping the palate. Offers viscous chocolatey glycerin. Given how fashionably modern Mollydooker is, and how antique I perceive merlot to be, cereberally it's incompatible. But this is nothing like the merlot you know; so stop thinking and start drinking. High acidity compliments well. Tannins are unfounded, as we would say over the radio. The flavor and the viscosity takes over, even though it works well. Chocolate notes on the long finish. New world Merlot isn't old world merlot, which I like a lot better. I love Mollydooker. The wine is good and I do recommend it, but not my favorite merlot. The whole portfolio has zero tannins, zero structure and is basically like blend of Ribena and Vodka. Vile. Lacks a bit of finesse but a good wine nonetheless. This is a big fruity wine by most standards, but is a bit more subdued (in flavor) than its sisters. The nose is a little deceiving as it is nowhere near as hot as its alcohol content would suggest. My fiancee tried a sniff and sip to critique and was completely caught off guard when it hit her tongue. "my god, what's the alcohol content", she said to which I replied, "it's a Mollydooker, it's going to be pretty high, haha". We both have enjoyed this one. Normally I don't really do Merlots, and don't really know much about them. I will say I like this one, and it truly tastes like a quality Mollydooker wine. As a side note, it should be noted that it plays well with umami and asian spice. We had a simple stir fry of oyster mushroom, cabbage, kale and carrot that was lightly spiced. Cheers!
