Tasted by Anthony Lombardi on 7/29/2015 & rated 88 points: Pretty much pop & pour. 40% Carignan, 30% Grenache, 30% Syrah. Dark violet color. This is a bold Corbieres and has an almost new world feel. The fruit is dark & plummy, but has a good black pepper/savory character as well. Structure is definitely behind the fruit at this point, but there is some grip which adds a some textural complexity. This is straightforward & enjoyable. It does quite well with Lomo & sweet Coppa as well as some 2 year old vintage cheddar. With that food is where the wine shines.

This is a good expression of Corbieres and is a good recommendation for one looking for a slightly more rustic take on a Southern Rhone wine. (1731 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 7/30/2014 & rated 90 points: Wine Wednesday at Weygandt (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): Bright raspberries and red currants on the nose, some underlying smoke, anise and violet notes. Tangy and fresh on the palate, with crisp acid and dusty tannins. Bright raspberries, red currants, red apple peel mix with minerals, crushed rocks and pencil shavings, and there are some underlying herbal elements. So fresh and lively, quite complex with lots of mineral and rocky-granite elements. Finishes long and fresh. I’m really surprised by how pretty this wine is. Syrah, Carignan and Grenache.
