Tasted by ChipGreen on 5/21/2022: Asian pear, golden delicious apple, baker's yeast, a hint of citrus zest and a medium+, slightly tangy finish with some tongue-buzzing acidity/minerality. TLDR: Good stuff! (1182 views)
Tasted by Racer117 on 9/10/2021 & rated 91 points: Very enjoyable. Was expecting something decent and received something very good. Color is med. gold but flavor profile doesn't quite match the color. Quite youthful with mushy green apple, hint of chalk/minerality, subtle yeast notes. Still packing lots of tiny bubbles. (1324 views)
Tasted by klezman on 4/20/2019: Always good (2931 views)
Tasted by mpsocal on 12/25/2018 & rated 90 points: Flavor of green apple with a little acidity but it seems more rounded on the finish. Very pleasing. (2045 views)
Tasted by PolarBear22 on 11/22/2018 & rated 89 points: Still drinking quite nicely. (2017 views)
Tasted by Ecb1456 on 5/16/2018 & rated 91 points: Bright green apples. Brilliant with citrus salad. (1996 views)
Tasted by klezman on 6/30/2017: Excellent vintage of this. Yeasty, apple, lemon, nice bubbles. (3249 views)
Tasted by mitiman2003 on 1/23/2017 & rated 89 points: Attractive green-tinged straw color, w/ plenty of bubbles to enhance its festive quality. Toasty, buttery aromas of brioche. Flavors of yeasty bread, green apples, & pleasing effervescence make for a tasty Champagne-style wine. (1784 views)
Tasted by acorelli on 12/23/2016 & rated 92 points: Rich and lovely. Ginger and bread. (1687 views)
Tasted by bestdamncab on 10/10/2016 & rated 88 points: Wine & Spirits Top 100 Tasting, nose of grapefruit, brioche, and green apple, same on the palate, medium body, touch simple, tasty, good acid on the finish. (1977 views)
Tasted by Birorganic on 7/28/2016 & rated 90 points: Nice food friendly wine. Long lemon butterscotch hard candy finish. Opened up on the second day and was much more interesting. (1874 views)
Tasted by AllRed on 5/14/2016 & rated 88 points: Crab apple and florals give way to stone and biscuit notes. Orchard fruit dominates the palate. Coarse bead with nice acidity and a crisp finish. (1561 views)
Tasted by Schaeferr on 1/31/2016 & rated 91 points: Nose is loaded with green apple and toast. Palate is apple and lemon, with fantastic texture from the bubbles. As usual, Iron Horse rocks. (1374 views)
Tasted by lushlife on 11/9/2015 & rated 91 points: toast, apple and citrus on the nose and in the mouth, somewhat creamy finish. the winery suggested a pairing with a wild mushroom tart. perfect partner; the bubbles just cut through the richness. (1463 views)
Tasted by bbakove on 8/14/2015 & rated 90 points: Clear liquid, color is pale straw, slightly foggy. Nose presents apple, citrus and is crisp. Bubbles, while not quite "pinpoint", are small and well tempered, giving a pleasant mouthfeel and lasting throughout both glass and bottle. I hesitate to say this is the "Ford" of sparklers for fear of giving a disparaging impression, which is not my intent at all. This wine is solidly built, always performs, is consistently dependable and never disappoints. Flavors of citrus, stone fruit, toast and a pleasing minerality are clear, the tasting profile is well balanced and the medium finish a pleasant dissolve. Enjoyable for any occasion. (1515 views)
Tasted by oog on 7/12/2015 & rated 91 points: Nose: Lemon, flour. Taste: Bread and lemon/citrus notes with nice but not over-the-top acidity. I can get a little bit of a bitter peach note others have written about. Strong finish. Not the most subtle bubbles I've ever had... Overall this wine is well-made and just plain enjoyable to drink. (1798 views)
Tasted by kylerogers on 3/20/2015: A little citrus, but a ton of ripe pear and peach. Really it smelled like a can of fruit cocktail. (1373 views)
Tasted by BMCKIE99 on 12/1/2012 & rated 85 points: This a less than average wine - start is buttery and full but aftertaste was sour. Disappointing as other vintages were good to very good. (2515 views)

Champagne Blend

"Champagne blend" is a classic grape blend that typically includes Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and/or Pinot Meunier in any proportions.

However, this blend can also include Arbane, Fromenteau (Pinot Gris), Petit Meslier and/or Pinot Blanc as well.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
